University of California-Berkeley College Prep program provides hands-on enrichment and college credit courses such as psychology, writing, photography and SAT Prep with The Princeton Review. Classes are kept to maximum of 12 students to ensure personalized attention and interaction. After classes, our team of dedicated resident assistants organize sports like surfing, arts and other fun activities. Each program provides a supportive environment for young musicians to develop their skills while they have fun playing with other kids. Intro to Rock Band Instruments:
A fun, hands-on workshop for musicians who want to learn to play new instruments. Campers receive basic instruction on a variety of different instruments and get to experience the thrill of playing in a band. Pick up the guitar and bass, play the drums, keyboards, and sing. Start playing music on the first day, and by the end of the week you'll be rocking out!.

CD Recording:
Our summer CD Recording Program is for kids and teens who have some musical experience and are ready to be in a rock band. The sessions culminate in a CD recording that each band makes in a professional recording studio at the end of the week. Each day the band meets in a fully equipped rehearsal studio, and works on honing the handful of songs they've chosen for recording. Rehearsals are structured and fun, enabling kids and teens to play the music they want, and work toward the goal of making a CD the kids can take home on Friday.

Songwriting:
Always wanted to write a song? Have tons of half-finished ideas for songs in your head? The Songwriting Camp is for you. Each day combines a little music theory, some exercises, improvisational jamming with your band, experimentation, and a whole lot of fun. By the end of the week you'll have at least one song ready to take to the stage.

At the our high school science research camps, students have a unique opportrunity to participate in wildlife or marine biology investigations usually available only to scientists at Universtiy of California research stations.
At our backpacking science camps, you will engage in hands-on science activities as you learn about rocks, astronomy, birds, insects, trees and flowers along with learning outdoor survival and backpacking skills.

Steve and Kate Susskind are the husband and wife team behind the camp that has served thousands of children since 1980. As advocates of individualized education and solutions, Steve and Kate have built a program that enables children and parents to have it their way. Campers participate in the activities they want, for as long as they want, and are therefore more engaged, more willing to explore new activities, and more likely to really learn. Parents buy as many days as they want and use them whenever they want or purchase a full summer membership. Also includes organic lunches designed in partnership with Alice Waters of Chez Panisse and The Edible Schoolyard.

These unique, overnight camps provide 6th-9th grade girls an opportunity to explore science, technology, and engineering while having fun on a college campus.

Science Majors allow girls to choose an area of focus during some activities at camp. Each major will include several small labs and a significant culminating project. This year, girls will choose from:
Astronomy (Water Rockets Project)
Marine Science (Creative Creatures Project)
Robotics (Robotics Challenge Project)

Enrichment Activities in the afternoons and evenings give girls an opportunity for informal science learning, as well as leadership and problem-solving training, through workshops, experiments, guest speakers, and recreational activities. Students will also attend a mid-program excursion to a local science venue.

8th and 9th Grade Girls will participate in an advanced 10-day program that will allow them extra time to explore our unique majors and activities.

A Sally Ride Science Camp graduate will have:
