By design, Douglas is a small camp which accepts approximately 120 boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 14. A generous 1 to 4 counselor to camper ratio creates an individualized experience for every child. Our quality staff is selected from throughout the United States and around the world. They help the campers achieve success in every activity and develop pride through personal improvement and mastery of athletic skills. We also focus on developing social and leadership skills which will serve the campers well throughout their lives.
Our six major activities are western horseback riding, swimming, tennis, archery, riflery, and arts & crafts. We also offer ball sports, water polo, overnight camp-outs, and a different special activity every night from carnivals to barn dancing. The fun and excitement of the summer, together with lots of care and attention, encourage a feeling of success found uniquely at Douglas Ranch Camps.
