Julian Summer Camps

Our campers choose from a multitude of activities offered each week. Structured choice time is also available for the activities that they may only want to try. We design our schedule around what campers want to do. They are having a blast making friends and trying new things while learning about our four core values of caring honesty respect and responsibility. We sing camp songs and have legendary campfires to round out the day. Then settle down for a good nights sleep before we start all over agian with the next grand adventure. You will hear stories all the way home when you pick them up. You will be glad you sent them to YMCA Camp Marston!

Trying new activities, making friends & developing self-confidence: These are just three of the reasons that parents choose to send their children to summer camp at Camp Stevens.

Campers leave Camp Stevens bursting with stories about the delicious food (really!), their new friends, our caring staff and all the new activities they tried, from archery and the climbing wall to campfires and sunset hikes. Our one-of-a-kind sessions for 8 to 18 year olds include Counselor Training, Adventure Sessions, International Odyssey where we’re joined by campers from Japan, and off-site Wilderness Adventure Trips.

On a beautiful property of chaparral wilderness, meadows, ponds, campfire circles and hiking trails, this 256-acre camp in Julian, California includes a pool, archery range, rock climbing wall, treehouse, arts & crafts center, and 3 acres of organic gardens, orchard and farm. Each day offers opportunities galore for campers age 8-16 to learn more about themselves, try new things, and enjoy a new sense of adventure.

We offer a progressive riding program that is suited to any level of riding. Weather you have never been on a horse or have been riding for years there is place for you at Raintree Ranch. Ground classes and arena lesson are followed by spectacular mountian views on our trail rides. Campers learn about care of the horses, Equine anatomy and the parts of tack and saddle. You will be amazed at what they learn in a week of camp!
