SEACAMP San Diego's mission is to provide exciting, innovative, hands-on, and interactive marine education opportunities, to students across the country and around the world. SEACAMP San Diego offers three unique camp opportunities: SEACAMP I, SEACAMP II, and SEACAMP III. Each camp immerses students in the fascinating world of marine biology through interactive marine science classes and field experiences. SEACAMP instructors utilize on-site aquarium facilities to teach hands-on labs. The topics of SEACAMP I labs include intertidal invertebrates, fish adaptations, night adaptations, marine mammal, and shark ecology. Labs are then all followed with field activities including several snorkel excursions, kayaking, and boogie boarding.

At the our high school science research camps, students have a unique opportrunity to participate in wildlife or marine biology investigations usually available only to scientists at Universtiy of California research stations.
At our backpacking science camps, you will engage in hands-on science activities as you learn about rocks, astronomy, birds, insects, trees and flowers along with learning outdoor survival and backpacking skills.

These unique, overnight camps provide 6th-9th grade girls an opportunity to explore science, technology, and engineering while having fun on a college campus.

Science Majors allow girls to choose an area of focus during some activities at camp. Each major will include several small labs and a significant culminating project. This year, girls will choose from:
Astronomy (Water Rockets Project)
Marine Science (Creative Creatures Project)
Robotics (Robotics Challenge Project)

Enrichment Activities in the afternoons and evenings give girls an opportunity for informal science learning, as well as leadership and problem-solving training, through workshops, experiments, guest speakers, and recreational activities. Students will also attend a mid-program excursion to a local science venue.

8th and 9th Grade Girls will participate in an advanced 10-day program that will allow them extra time to explore our unique majors and activities.

A Sally Ride Science Camp graduate will have:
- Completed the exclusive Sally Ride Science curriculum
- Participated in lots of hands-on science learning and activities
- Gained confidence and experience in a supportive girls-only environment
- Learned from experienced and inspiring instructors
- Made lots of new friends
- Experienced a taste of college life

With a beautiful oceanfront setting, Camp Pacific has the perfect location for an exciting fun-filled summer! Our popular three-week recreation camp and one-week Surf and Bodyboard session, attract campers from all around the world summer after summer. Recreational activities and sports include: tennis, surfing, soccer, arts and crafts, riflery, basketball, water polo, snorkeling, guitar, weight training, surf, bodyboarding, and many more activities that have made our camp a huge success since 1943. The Academy by the Sea provides a unique boarding school learning environment. Our co-educational academic programs are designed for students in grades 4-11. Following a disciplined and structured schedule through-out their four-week stay, including a proctored evening study hall, students will learn and develop study and time-management skills. We keep our class sizes small so that we may provide each student with the individual teacher attention they need (1:10 teacher to student ratio). Students will receive class instruction in the mornings, and participate in recreational activities during the afternoons (so long as all class work has been completed). Weekends will consist of trips to local theme parks and places of interest. Students taking courses for credit follow a separate schedule. Please refer to brochure for details.
