River Way Ranch Camp, a co-educational resident camp located in the beautiful foothills of Sequoia National Park, attracts children from all over the world. Awarded the #1 Family Business Award in 2008 and scoring 100% on the American Camp Association Accredition in 2008, River Way has been deemed 'one of the best camps in the United States'.

Children choose from 75 exciting activities. In addition to regular camp activities, River Way offers classes in wakeboarding, water-skiing, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, tennis, digital photography, film, journalism, paintball, trampoline center, sailing, mini-bikes, waverunners and go-karts. Trips to the local waterslide park and overnight to the Sequoias are also favorites. River Way campers enjoy four 1-1/2 hour activity periods daily and conclude with a fun evening program. River Way hires a staff in excess of 140 people and requires them to attend 7-10 days of training which focuses on building self esteem, conflict resolution, team building and all aspects of safety and supervising campers throughout each day. The Buckaroos, ages 7-9, have two counselors with each cabin group at all times. They receive a challenging, diversified schedule, teaching them many new skills. All campers will also have an opportunity to earn iron-on T-shirt patches in all activities.

Beginning at age 10, Rancheros and Seniors have free choices of activity. They will sign up for their classes once a week and have the option of changing classes if so desired. In addition to River Way Ranch Camp, Wonder Valley Family Camp offers 2 - 1 week sessions in August. If your children are too young for River Way, you might want to try the Family Camp, where everyone can participate in age appropriate activities for the entire family.

ABOUT WONDER VALLEY: Establshed in 1911 as California's first guest ranch, Wonder Valley Ranch has grown to be a full-service resort and conference facility catering to large group functions, as well as individuals for ranch style Bed and Breakfast. ACCOMMODATIONS AND MEALS: There are 53 private guest rooms with individually controlled A/C for families. All rooms have wall-to-wall carpeting, and private bathrooms with showers. Many rooms have large walk-in-closets, double sinks and can comfortably sleep up to 6 people. Housekeeping service is provided. All meals and activities are included and meals are served buffett-style. We also provide a coin-op laundry facility for your convenience.

CHILDCARE: Childcare is provided during activity and social hours. Qualified preschool instructors for infants and toddlers (2 and under) provide a creative program during these scheduled periods. Other babysitting arrangements can also be made for a reasonable fee.

CHILDREN'S PROGRAM: Children's programs are supervised by qualified counselors. Children under age 9 may participate in structured activities with their respective age groups, Campers 9 years and older may choose from a varied program. Adults may participate in most activities offered.

PARENT'S NIGHT OUT: One evening is set aside for Parents' Night Out when the adults dress up for the evening dinner, fine wine and entertainment. The children are cared for by the counselors while their parents relax and enjoy themselves!
