Get your hands on toys! Build your own ones! Join us for cool projects and fun things like sand clocks, cars and boats, even your own musical instrument. Every week, you will build and take home a new amazing toy that is totally YOURS from inside out.
Journalism and Photography,
Theatre and Games:
Photography. Come learn the beginning fundamentals of basic photography, this class a must for all aspiring photographers.
We’ll begin with the bare basics about how a camera works, then over the course you’ll learn about how to sculpt your shot, depth of field, to choose point of view. We’ll study landscapes, profiles and portraits.
Students will be given hands on experience with film cameras snapping their own photos.
Games. Do you enjoy playing games? This is a great camp for thinkers and fun practice for analytical minds.
Expand your problem solving and strategic thinking skills while playing Jr. Scrabble, Jr. Monopoly, Jr. Mastermind, Battleship and Chinese Checkers just to name a few.
Journalism. Our news team will write different types of article (reports, analysis, cultural review) on their favorite events - in serious and in FUNNY way. Students will become reporters and interview one another.
By the end of the program you will choose which department of the newspaper you would like to work in, and your favorite specialty.
The result will be a published newspaper done by our News Team.

Learn the more artistic side of computers during this elementary program using Power Point and cut-and-paste creative software. Work in teams to build a robot and make it move using Lego Mindstorms Robolab system. Use your knowledge and skills to program your robot by remote control. Animal Safari (10-13 years old)
Join us as we trek across Southern California on this journey of life science. Begin the week at Discovery Science Center with a close-up look at the grosser aspects of animals in our Animal Grossology exhibition. Visit live sharks at the Aquarium of the Pacific, killer whales at Sea World and rhinos at the Wild Animal Park! Finish the week with a kayak tour of the Upper Newport Bay. Enjoy the comfort of a travel coach loaded with all of the extras, such as videos, restroom and snacks. All travel and admission costs are included in the camp fee.

9. Sally Ride Science Camp for Girls - Education Unlimited has partnered with Sally Ride Science Camps to encourage girls' interests in science by giving them hands-on science learning and activities in an environment that is supportive, enriching, and fun!

These unique, overnight camps provide 6th-9th grade girls an opportunity to explore science, technology, and engineering while having fun on a college campus.

Science Majors allow girls to choose an area of focus during some activities at camp. Each major will include several small labs and a significant culminating project. This year, girls will choose from:
Astronomy (Water Rockets Project)
Marine Science (Creative Creatures Project)
Robotics (Robotics Challenge Project)

Enrichment Activities in the afternoons and evenings give girls an opportunity for informal science learning, as well as leadership and problem-solving training, through workshops, experiments, guest speakers, and recreational activities. Students will also attend a mid-program excursion to a local science venue.

GIZMO’S ROBOT FACTORY
Build, customize, and battle with your very own walking K’Nex robot! Discover the secrets behind robo-cool tools while building a satellite, investigating top-secret listening devices and crafting a periscope. View color in 3-D “robot vision” and explore your own color creations at home. Full day campers will kick it into high gear while building a take-home robot tool kit and their own motorized invention.

POWERFUL PLANET
Let’s team up to explore the planet’s most powerful forces! Learn how new sources of energy can make the planet a better place to live by building speeding electric cars, cooking up s’mores using solar energy and creating your own water filtration system! Stay all day to solve the mystery of the endangered sea turtles. Recreate and learn about the dangers they face on their adventurous journey to the sea.

FABULOUS PHYSICS CHALLENGE
Are you ready to grapple, physics style? It’s a showdown when campers build dragsters, throw magnetic darts, and hurtle parachutes through the air. These budding physicists will throw down their sickest moves with skateboard racers and slime sport shoes. Serious mini-scientists will learn how physics properties relate to the sports and self-guided contraptions. This physics challenge will be your campers’ biggest adventure.

SPACE AND ROCKETRY
Back by popular demand! Blast off from planet Earth to explore the farthest reaches of the universe by launching your very own rocket! Parachute down to the rocky and dangerous terrain of Mars, while you investigate the magnificent planets of our universe. Construct your electric Mars Rover to uncover the mysteries of the surface of the planets. Space: no longer the final frontier!
