What can be better than spending two full weeks with other Teens who enjoy programming as much as you do, and with staff who have the real-world programming expertise to make your projects come to life. A 2-week, pre-college overnight program for Teens, held at prestigious universities nationwide (see below). iD Programming Academy guarantees small class sizes (max 8:1) taught by top-tier instructors who have degrees in the field and impressive backgrounds in programming, computer science, robotics, and application development. Ages 13-18 learn personalized curriculum with a small group of peers to optimize learning and social experiences.

Alien Adventure Camp - Eight very special, and out-of-this-world campers, along with two extra-ordinary counselors, will be seat-belted in Camp Exploration's fully licensed and insured van for an amazing Alien Adventure, from West Los Angeles, CA to Roswell, New Mexico, and extremely exciting explorations in between.

Alien Adventure will depart West Los Angeles, CA on June 30th and return back to West Los Angeles, CA on July 11th. The grand destination will be Roswell, New Mexico. The camp will enjoy the July 4th weekend's UFO Festival in Roswell. On the way there, and on the way back, Alien Adventure will venture to a wide array of interesting and enjoyable destinations, (e.g., the Grand Canyon, Hoover Dam, Area 51, a Native Village, and so much more). Much hiking and geocaching will be enjoyed. Some nights, the camp will pitch tents and enjoy the great outdoors. Other nights, the camp will enjoy the luxuries of "civilization" in hotel accomodations. Much singing and game playing will take place while seatbelted in the licensed and insured van. This unique program is limited to eight out-of-this-world campers, and will be supervised on a 4:1 ratio by two extra-ordinary counselors. This is a rare opportunity for the truly adventurous space enthusiast.

6. Hiller Aviation Day Camp - Explore the world of flight with flight simulations, hands-on modeling and encounters with real aircraft!

The Hiller Aviation Museum in San Carlos, California, offers three different camp topics for children entering Grades 1-5 and two advanced topics for Grades 6-8. Each features hands-on aircraft and rocket construction, realistic flight simulation, exciting aircraft encounters and more.

Aviation Camp topics for 2011 include:

These unique, overnight camps provide 6th-9th grade girls an opportunity to explore science, technology, and engineering while having fun on a college campus.

Science Majors allow girls to choose an area of focus during some activities at camp. Each major will include several small labs and a significant culminating project. This year, girls will choose from:

Marine Science (Creative Creatures Project)
Robotics (Robotics Challenge Project)

Enrichment Activities in the afternoons and evenings give girls an opportunity for informal science learning, as well as leadership and problem-solving training, through workshops, experiments, guest speakers, and recreational activities.
