Adventure activities include wilderness backpacking, horsepacking, rock climbing, whitewater rafting, wildlife studies, mountaineering, SCUBA diving, snorkeling, sea kayaking and wilderness medicine. Summer expeditions range from two to four weeks in length. Shorter adventures of three to seven days are planned for the spring, fall and winter. COURSES
DMA offers day and overnight courses in weekly and multi-week sessions for youth, age 7-18. DMA courses accommodate a wide variety of digital media interests in a more sophisticated learning environment than other summer computer camps. THE TEEN EXPERIENCE

The Endless Summer Surf Camp offers a variety of learn to surf programs all summer long. The Academy by the Sea provides a unique boarding school learning environment. Our co-educational academic programs are designed for students in grades 4-11. Following a disciplined and structured schedule through-out their four-week stay, including a proctored evening study hall, students will learn and develop study and time-management skills. We keep our class sizes small so that we may provide each student with the individual teacher attention they need (1:10 teacher to student ratio). Students will receive class instruction in the mornings, and participate in recreational activities during the afternoons (so long as all class work has been completed). Who can attend surf camp: First time students, including beginning, intermediate and advanced levels are encouraged to attend. Age groups: 6-12 years old and 13-17 years old can register for our camps. We encourage siblings, friends and family to all sign up together.

What to expect: Fun filled days at the beach learning how to surf. In mornings we stretch, warm-up and the surf for about two hours. After surfing, we eat lunch and relax under the sun. Then we play some beach games for about thirty minutes. Once everyone is ready, we all go surf and swim for another two hours.
