Woodland Hills Summer Camps

Welcome to a summer of creativity at the Summer Art Academy! We begin our 11th summer of providing children with engaging and unique workshops in the arts.

This summer Art Academy will run three camps; Clay Camp, Art Camp and Cooking Camp. Each camp provides a dynamic, nurturing environment that encourages children to discover their unique, creative talents through a variety of hands-on workshops.

For families who choose our summer arts program, our mission is to provide their children with enrichment and experiences not available during the regular academic year within a framework that promotes self-expression, allows them to freely explore, discover and ultimately gain new skills and confidence that will encourage them to further explore the diversity of their world.

With a great staff, hard work, emphasis on service, attention to detail, and an understanding of what children enjoy, the Summer Art Academy's camp programs are a wonderful alternative to traditional summer camps and a unique place to spend the summer.

Acting for Film and Television Summer camp is for kids who want to act in front of the camera just for fun or for a career! During our 2 week summer session, each day will be split up into a morning session, where each child will receive coaching in various areas of acting including...Cold reading, Improv, On-camera work, Scene study and Audition techniques

After lunch, afternoons will be spent rehearsing and ultimately shooting a short film, directed, shot and edited by industry professionals who work in feature films, commercials and television.

We have a wonderful staff of professionals and offer a safe, stimulating and fun experience for all campers!

RED CARPET PREMIERE!
Approximately 4 weeks after we wrap camp, we will host a gala red carpet premiere of our short films, with interviews, screaming fans (parents) and paparrazi (friends) at a local movie theatre.

From Blueberry Muffins to Cheese Raviolis, Quiche to Double Chocolate Fudge, our hands-on workshops focus on cooking from scratch using fresh, seasonal ingredients and time tested culinary techniques.

Whether your child is interested in becoming a head chef or simply a maker of a mean pesto sauce, Cooking Camp is a wonderful opportunity to expose your child to new foods that encourage them to expand their culinary palates and can serve as an ideal entree to culinary pursuits!
