SpaceTimeKids’ Space Adventure Camps are activity-based programs that get kids energized and excited about science through space science activities and adventures. Though their main emphasis is on fun and interactivity, each program is structured around core principals of science and involves critical thinking exercises that encourage kids to challenge their understanding of the world they live in and the space that it inhabits.

Camps are being held at various locations in and around the Denver Metro area. Exciting space-themed day camps for the 2011 season are:

Lift Off Rockets
If you like rockets, you’ll love our Lift Off Rockets camp. You'll do just about everything there is to do with rockets short of riding one into space. Go hands-on to learn some of the science behind how they fly and while you’re learning you will be having SERIOUS COSMIC FUN building and launching different kinds of rockets (that you get to keep), blasting off fleets of rockets simultaneously, feeling the thrill of a human gravity sling-shot and more!

Life In Space:
Would you like to try living in outer space? Kids will see, hear and feel some of what it would be like to live, work and play in outer space. They will get to design space missions to destinations within our Solar System as well as around distant stars and then experience some of what those missions would be like with SpaceTime’s trademark “Virtual Voyagers Exploration System” including feeling the thrill of a gravity “sling shot”, seeing the Solar System up close and personal with eye-popping 3D, building and launching spaceships and much more.

Sailing The Solar System:
Set sail on an amazing journey through our cosmic neighborhood with our Sailing The the Solar System camp. They will take you on hands-on & minds-on adventures through the Solar System where you will get to explore the moons of Jupiter & Saturn, search for signs of life on distant worlds, build your very own SpaceTime Cosmic Cruisers, design & build your own planetary system, pilot a remote controlled planet rover, hear the sound of the Sun and much, much more. And be warned…you may get SPACE SLIMED.
