Acting summer camps offer an opportunity for campers to learn various aspects of professional film, television, and theatre acting, including: movement, speech and voice, improvisation, commercials, auditioning, and more. Participants may also be able to try their hand at directing, writing, and other production roles.

1. Buck's Rock Performing and Creative Arts Camp - Buck's Rock Camp offers teenagers the freedom to choose among a wide range of creative and performing arts in a supportive, non-competitive environment where they work with qualified professional artists/ teachers.
Resident Camp - Coed - New Milford, Connecticut

Since 1942, Buck's Rock camp has remained an educational institution for the Performing and Creative Arts that has never lost faith in the innate capacity of young people to structure their time intelligently and to use freedom courageously and productively. Buck's Rock Performing and Creative Arts Camp provides campers the freedom to choose their activities on a daily basis, and a supportive, non-competitive environment in which to explore their interests. Campers work along side qualified professional artists and teachers who nurture and support their talents and skills as they perform and create. Each activity has its own area and is equipped to professional standards. We believe that young people can best act and work creatively when they choose their activities and are allowed the time they need to pursue them.

Activities:
The Performing Arts include: music - featuring orchestral, jazz, ensembles, choral, rock, percussion, recording studio and private instruction, theater, musical theater, dance, clowning and improvisation, and stand up comedy. The Creative Arts include, among many others, glassblowing, ceramics, woodworking, sculpture, photography, sewing, painting, printmaking, weaving, bookarts, publications and creative writing, computers and video. There are also ample opportunities for campers to take part in activities such as sports, swimming, spelunking, animal farming, horseback riding, etc. Campers work along side qualified professional artists and teachers who nurture and support their talents and skills as they perform and create.

Camp Location:
Buck's Rock Camp, located in New Milford CT., is situated on 125 acres of deeply wooded forests only 75 miles from New York City. Buck's Rock is located in the heart of many cultural facilities.

FILMMAKERS INK – Filmmaking, Acting, Screenwriting, Editing… And More! Want to see your name in lights? Here's your chance! Join Filmmakers Ink's team of Award-winning filmmakers and artists and make magic! Filmmakers Ink, under the leadership of award-winning filmmaker, Patrick McCullough, has set itself apart from other film programs through the depth of knowledge and achievement in our staff, who’ve produced Sundance Grand Jury Prize-Winning films, and smaller award-winning independent films, like Beautiful Kid featuring Pulitzer Prize-Winning author, Frank McCourt, which Variety called, a film with "astonishing integrity." The staff includes Patrick McCullough, Writer, Director, Actor and Producer, who just finished shooting his third feature film, Loop, and also a finalist in the Sundance Film Festival Screenwriting Program, and Chosei Funahara, mentored by Akira Kurosawa (the renowned Japanese filmmaker, director of films such as Ran and The Seven Samurai). Chosei has made over 60 films and has won an MTV award for Best American Video. Filmmakers Ink offers programs in Filmmaking, Acting, Editing, Screenwriting and Special Effects for Ages 8 to 16, in Darien, Westport, Stamford, Wilton, Fairfield, Farmington, Litchfield and Amherst MA. Filmmakers Ink provides intensive creative instruction in a fun and relaxed atmosphere. We will be building confidence in our young filmmakers by teaching teamwork with daily success, giving each a strong foundation in collaboration, imagination, creativity and storytelling.
