Stringendo School For Strings Summer Academy is a four week period in which a select group of approximately seventy five highly motivated string players will come together for an intense session of unparalleled focus and drive creating one of the most unique and inspiring environments for progress imaginable. Students receive individual attention from some of the most sought after pedagogues, soloists, chamber and orchestral musicians in the world. Three divisions allow students from beginning levels to the highly advanced take advantage of this environment which has become a spawning ground for solo, chamber, orchestral and teaching careers alike. Together with large blocks of uninterrupted practice time, one on one mentoring, chamber coaching, studio and master-classes, and ample performance opportunities, students are able to surpass their expectations summer after summer. Through the shared experiences of trials and triumphs along with the lighter moments of recreational activities, students and mentors alike form cherished memories and lasting bonds that they will take with them through the rest of their lives.

COURSES
DMA offers day and overnight courses in weekly and multi-week sessions for youth, age 7-18. DMA courses accommodate a wide variety of digital media interests in a more sophisticated learning environment than other summer computer camps. All courses are project based and taught by accomplished professionals who have a passion for inspiring young minds. An average student to instructor ratio of 6 to 1 allows for plenty of individual attention as students explore, create and immerse themselves in an environment that is more like a production studio than a classroom.

THE TEEN EXPERIENCE
DMA’s teen courses for 2009 include Robotics, Digital Filmmaking, 3D Animation, Web Production, Programming, and Music and Video Production - just to name a few.
Teens may commute or stay on campus in university housing. Separate DMA couselor staff live in the dorm coordinating evening and weekend activities while ensuring a fun and safe experience for everyone. Teens living on campus receive breakfast, lunch and dinner in a university dining hall. Commuting students may purchase a dining hall lunch pass or buy their own lunch at one of several restaurants on campus.

THE YOUTH EXPERIENCE
DMA’s 2009 youth courses (called Digital Media Adventures) include Robotics, Digital Filmmaking, Game Creation, Web Design & Flash, Cartoon & Comic Book Creation and Surfing & Filmmaking. To create a more balanced experience, we incorporate outdoor recreation breaks throughout the day – we beleive, like you, that kids should move! Additional activities, such as sports, board games and weekend adventures are offered to youth in our residential program.

At A Kids Gym we offer preschool summer camp and school age summer camp. We offer half days for preschool or full time for both school age and preschool. Age ranges are between 2 and 14. Each week here at A Kids Gym is themed and will be carried out throughout the week. For example:(tentative) Strut your Stuff week School age will go to Sea World and bowling this week.Bring your kids out and have a great time.

University School's Camp Nova offers a variety of options all supervised by teachers with the assistance of college and high school students. All campers have daily swim - instructional and organized free play.
Three distinct groups:
Junior Core Camp (entering Kindergarten and First Grade): All activities are geared for this youngest camper population, including special in house field trips.
Core Camp (2nd grade - 8th grade): Campers are divided based on age and gender. This group gets to rotate through all activities, but picks a core choice (arts and crafts, general sports, dance, cheer, martial arts, fun with science, or technology), where they spend extra time each day working on special projects.
Magic Program (2nd grade - 8th grade): Profressional magicians teach magic tricks and illusions. This is a specialty program within Camp Nova.

BIG BEND UMC's Splash Zone Summer and Sports Camp is only $20 a day and includes Breakfast, Lunch and Snack!

We have lots of fun on our 11 Acres of land! Come and have some fun with us! All counselors are fully athletic and CPR, First Aid certified.

Summer Drama Day camps are devoted to building self-esteem and self-confidence via the path of theatre and/or film related performance and technical skills.

Camps are boken down into age appropriate categories offering opportunities to perform, dance, act, sing and work backstage at whatever level a camper is comfortable.

Determined by the camp, a camper may perform in a musical, learn the skills of being a film actor, writer, director or, for the little ones, get used to being in front of people via a class just for them. All camps have a showcase performance.
