Camp Kateri is all about YOU--Make S'more Memories in 2012!
Do you like to kayak? Swim? Ride horses? Have an adventure? Whatever YOU want to do this summer, you can do it at Camp Kateri! Each camp session has a specific focus, and is designed to help you explore the things you like to do.
Don't worry, you still get to do all the “camp” activities like swimming, arts and crafts, games, camp songs, campfires, and hiking. We guarantee YOU will find all kinds of ways to have FUN and make amazing memories!
Camp Kateri is located just 30 minutes southeast of Gainesville, Florida. The 550-acre site is a beautiful setting for equestrian, aquatic, and adventure activities.
During their stay at Camp Kateri, girls live in cabins, platform tents, or treehouses, depending on their age and selected session. Each unit has flush toilets, running water, and electricity in unit houses. Treehouses and tents do not have electricity.
Camp Kateri is owned and operated by Girl Scouts of Gateway Council, Inc. Strict standards established by Girl Scouts of the USA and the American Camping Association guide camp staff in ensuring safety, staffing, program and property management. Camp Kateri is committed to ensuring that participation is a blend of a diverse group of campers and staff, including all race, religion, ethnic background and physical abilities.
