NeighborScapes programs seek to provide a universal youth experience through summer camps and after-school enrichment for children age 5-13. Camps are offered in Chicago Heights, Matteson and Harvey, Illinois Monday-Friday through partnerships with these cities and their Mayors' youth initiatives. Most of our summer camps are open 8 AM to 6 PM to accommodate the needs of working parents, and our fees are the lowest around - starting at $100/week with scholarships available for needy families, referral discounts, and discounts for families enrolling multiple children. Weekly payment options help families on budgets, and visiting friends and options can register for just a few days as needed.
Our reading-based enrichment curriculum is supplemented by arts & crafts, sports and games, overnight camping, swimming, and field trips throughout the community and greater Chicagoland. Camps include two weekly swimming trips, a weekly field trip, and a trip to the library.
NeighborScapes seeks to foster a cradle-through-college covenant of enrichment, care and development for young people. As children age, we seek to provide job opportunities and leadership development experiences for young people age 14-24 through our Civic Leadership Corps.
