One parent's feedback on our Summer Camp: "Last spring we got caught up in the search for the "perfect Summer Camp experience.' We chose Language Stars Summer Camp, with traditional indoor/outdoor camp activities and total immersion play (don't think of it as instruction!) Our daughter went for 4 weeks but after only 1 week, there was an explosion of Spanish in our house! The teachers are all native speakers, and most importantly, my daughter had a ton of fun. Gracias, Language Stars!" - Dena Hirschberg.

Resident Camp - Day Camp - All Boys - Chicago, Illinois
St. Xavier University's Chicago Campus is located at 3700 West 103rd Street, nestled in the scenic Chicago neighborhood of Mt. Greenwood. The Chicago Campus facilities offer a total of 620,000 square feet spread over 74 beautifully landscaped acres on the Southwest side of Chicago.
Directing the program this summer is Head Football Coach at Lake Forest College, Brent Becker. In his first three seasons with the program, Lake Forest posted a combined record of 19-11 and placed as high as third in the Midwest Conference twice. Prior to coming to Lake Forest, Becker served as an assistant coach at Knox College(1998), Greenville College(1999-00), and Saginaw Valley State University(2001-02). In seven years as an assistant coach his teams had a combined record of 52-24 and did not suffer a losing season.
All campers will have the opportunity to train each day, work hard, improve, make new friends, and have fun on the beautiful Deaton Memorial Field - home to the St. Xavier Cougars . Each athlete is encouraged to develop new skills and achieve a new level of play and self-confidence. Campers work on conditioning, fundamentals and technique at individual positions, plus offensive and defensive team play.
Special team play and scrimmaging is also a big part of our programs. All phases of down-field coverages, wedge busting, tackling, blocking for punts, field goals, extra points, holding, kick-off, and kick receiving is covered. And after working hard all week, both individually and as a team, the final day 'live' scrimmage is the highlight of camp. Campers are divided into teams by age, weight, size and ability. Using light and dark jerseys, teams scrimmage as parents, friends and the entire camp staff cheers them on. Every camper plays at least one-half of our scrimmage.
