We invite children ages 5-14 to join us for the 2011 Wiz Kids Sports Camp season which will be hosted on the campus of Rich Central High School in Olympia Fields, IL.
Summer Education
The camp scholastic instructors place a special emphasis on making the summer learning experience engaging and fun. Your child will be challenged with curriculum designed to help prepare him or her for the forthcoming academic year.
Academic sessions will be led by State of Illinois certified elementary school teachers featuring a specialized curriculum designed by professionals in higher education. An assessment will be conducted at the onset of camp to determine the best ways we can personally enrich your child’s learning experience. Each day, children will participate in 3-hour educational sessions with a structured curriculum that includes math, reading and writing.
Tennis Camp
The world of tennis offers cultural enrichment and this year's camp will be no different. The emphasis will be on having fun, stroke production fundamentals and tournament preparation. Campers will learn the correct mechanics, proper court position and movement, and strategies for future on-court growth. The basic rules and techniques will be reinforced daily through team oriented games, coordination exercises and singles point play.
In addition to a rigorous tennis regimen designed to build your child's skills, the camp will feature visits by some of the area's best players and coaches. The Wiz Kids Summer Tennis Camp staff will be led by a certified USPTA professional.
Basketball Camp
Basketball is an exciting team sport that builds character and promotes healthy exercise. Our coaches focus on improving a child’s game while nurturing enjoyment of the sport and teaching important life skills that the child can use off the courts. Through individual drills and team competition, each camper has an opportunity to enhance their overall basketball skills.
