Riverwoods is a community outreach ministry headquartered at a camp. During the school year full-time staff members go into local under-resourced communities with mentoring, after-school programs, youth nights, Bible studies and more. During the summer we bring youth from the communities to our 80-acre campus on the Fox River for a variety of camp programs and activities.

Riverwoods is looking for committed followers of Christ who desire to serve him by working with under-resourced youth in a camp setting. Roles include counselors, teen directors, activity directors and more.

Camp Carew is located approximately 9 miles south of Carbondale, Illinois. We are located on a 60 acre site sitting on a 900 acre lake. We are surrounded by the natural settings of a wildlife refuge, national forest and a state park. This setting provides ample opportunities for a variety of activities.
