2. Maud Morgan Summer Creative Arts Workshops - Eight weeks of art workshops for children/ youth 5 - 9 grades offering ceramics every day plus alternating weeks of 2D media such as drawing, painting, printmaking, nad alternative photography.

Maud Morgan Arts is a new (2010) neighborhood arts center in the heart of Cambridge. We offer classes for children and youth after school all year, and a special series of Creative Arts Workshops for 8 weeks in the summer. You can sign up for one week or all eight. The teachers change each week with the focus projects. All are highly skilled and inspiring educators.

3. Boston School of Rock Summer Boot Camp - Rock Music Camp including private lessons, being in a band, recording, live public performance

The School of Rock Boston has 112 openings for our fabulous 2011 Rock & Roll Boot Camps, but we sell out by May of every year! This year we are looking for guitarists, bassists, singers, drummers, and keyboardists for our one-week day camps in June/July/August, which include songwriting, recording seminars, and a final concert at a real live rock venue. Ages 7-17 accepted. Camps run 9:00 am to 3:00 pm at our 120 Elm Street location in Watertown and are staffed by instructors from the Berklee College of Music. Drawing, painting, printmaking, sculpture, photography, all studio arts including fashion and film making are available in an exciting six week educational program for young women. Other campers can elect performing arts with classes in acting, Shakespeare and musical theater along with directing, writing and technical theater.Ballet, modern, jazz and tap are available with NYC faculty for girls with all levels of prior experience. Private singing, instrumental lessons, chamber music, chorus and opera complete the performance program. Campers can balance their days with individual sports or focus on one or more arts programs.

5. Summer On Stage - Summer On Stage is a full-day Theatre Arts Day Camp for children ages 6 to 15 where your child will develop their creative imagination, social confidence, and personal presence.

What goes on behind the scenes? You'll learn about how props, sets, and costumes help to tell stories. You’ll also learn about prop and set construction.


Final Performance
During each three week camp session, SOS campers develop, write, and rehearse their own
ORIGINAL PLAYS. This culminates with a final performance for a live audience of family and friends.

6. Young Artist Residency Program - Interested in creating an impressive art portfolio and earning college credit? Study with professional artists while exploring the culturally rich city of Boston during a 4 week artist residency at The Art Institute of Boston in July.

The Young Artist Residency Program 2010 at The Art Institute of Boston at Lesley University in Cambridge, Massachusetts is designed for high school students who will be entering their junior or senior year in the Fall of 2010. This intensive program of four-weeks of classes and art-making during July is designed to offer a professional art college experience while living on campus.

A student who applies and is selected to attend will:
