Scituate Summer Camps

Herring Brook's SUNsational Summer Camp is an unparalleled, fun-filled day camp experience for the very young (ages 3 - 7). It is by far the best, most exciting, most happening summer camp around for the little ones, combining summer camp fun with full and half day child care. Herring Brook is open 7:30 - 5:30, five days a week, with numerous scheduling options available. July through August is summertime merriment at Herring Brook and we take full advantage of the wonderful sunshine and fresh air that the summer months have to offer. We place great emphasis on the value of friendship and the fine art of improving social skills. Our summer camp also highlights outdoor play, sand and water play, arts & crafts, science and nature. Each week introduces a new theme and the activities, entertainers, explorations and learning experiences are thoughtfully designed to revolve around those themes. The great outdoors is one of Herring Brook's most important and beloved classrooms. Our enormous playground is nestled in the woods, surrounded by nature, wildlife and walking trails. Along with its aesthetic beauty, the playground is also a place that allows children the freedom to release their boundless energy and to explore their fantasies. The outdoor play spaces provide a world of real and imaginary challenges while promoting activity, adventure and coordination. Our playground features the "Herring Brook Lodge" - an elevated playhouse with a tube slide (for quick descents), a bike track, swing sets, climbers and balance equipment, a huge sandbox, water tables, tented picnic tables and a wide range of outdoor play equipment. Our lawns are used for sports and games, plus pools, sprinklers, and water slide escapades. Summer comes but once a year and at Herring Brook's SUNsational Summer Camp we enjoy it to the fullest! (We prefer 8 week commitments but will also do 2 - 8 week enrollments. We also try our best to accomodate working parent's schedules.)

SIG at the Inly School, MA, provides academically advanced students in grade 1-6 with an exciting and challenging Saturday Program.

The program combines remarkable academic courses with cultural, social, and recreational opportunities. The academic program is central to the design and purpose of SIG. Our programs provide students with academic challenges designed to fit their abilities and interests. It also provides them with the opportunity to engage with other students who have similar abilities and interests. Because of our small classes, low teacher-student ratio, and the presence of an assistant in every class, we are able to individualize the program for each and every student.

The richness of a broad range of geographical, cultural, and ethnic backgrounds, the stimulation created by talented and intellectually engaged students working and playing together, the depth and diversity of the SIG faculty and staff, and the beautiful and well-equipped college campus environments create a perfect atmosphere for learning, growing and accomplishing meaningful goals.
