Huron Forest Camp CedarRidge is a place for you to be real, to become, and to belong. Nestled in the heart of the Huron National Forest in Oscoda, MI, our rustic but unique camp environment provides a place away from the distractions of everyday life. At the heart of what we do is our desire to teach Christian values and life skills, and see lives change.

From archery and canoeing to outdoor living skills and drama, campers gain confidence and are challenged to grow - socially, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Our daily bible studies provide opportunities for campers to ask deep questions, and discover who God has created them to be. With a low camper-to-staff ratio, staff are able to mentor campers and encourage individual character development. Campers build and grow lasting friendships through cabin time and team-building activities.
Some of our activities include Archery, Canoeing, Capture the Flag, Crafts, Disc Golf, Drama, Fishing, Initiatives Course, Hiking, Horsemanship, Trail Biking, Outdoor Cooking, Outdoor Living Skills, Riflery/Air Riflery, Swimming, Trail Rides, and Volleyball.

PLUS we have specialty camps like Horse Camp, Outdoor Adventure Trips (TTC), Science Camp (Biology, Ecology, Physics and more), S.O.A.R. (Outdoor Survival Canoe Trips), CILT/BUILT (Teen Leadership), Family Camp, and Parent/Child Weekends. Here is what people are saying about us. “Great place to make friends”, “Just me and my daughter-no demands or distractions”, “Camp CedarRidge is genius”.

Founded in 1938, Circle Pines Center has always been integrated and open to all, without discrimination of any sort. Our mission is to teach peace, social justice, environmental stewardship and cooperation, through education, recreation, work and the arts. Our program combines elements of a traditional summer camp (swimming, sports, campfires, hikes, theater, dance, arts and crafts) with cooperative work projects (construction, organic gardening, trail maintenance and cleaning) and education activities that focus on things like climate change, food politics, social justice, grassroots organizing, ecosystems, and the importance of critical thinking. Our focus on cooperation as an interpersonal strategy and viable economic alternative are embodied in our chores, work projects, decision making, camp store and other activities. Meal clean up is a time when staff and campers work together and learn the importance of working to maintain a community. Every morning we do work projects around camp to teach cooperation and give campers an appreciation for work itself. Frequently, campers are most excited to tell their parents about work projects, showing off vegetables they'd planted, trails they'd trimmed or a shed they had helped build. Parents tell us of how their children come home and are more helpful around the house. Many of our campers tell us that they feel more at home at Circle Pines than they do anywhere else. We pride ourselves on creating a safe, inclusive, engaging space where diversity and growth are fostered.
