Ferris State University offers week-long summer camps in Grand Rapids for teens 14 and up. Get a taste of what it’s like to be a computer animator or a game designer. Become a super sleuth, learning how to crack passwords and restore deleted files. Create your own app for a smartphone or tablet. Get a taste of one area or all three and see if you’re cut out for a career in software engineering, digital animation, game design, or digital forensics.

Students interested in computer software and what makes technology run will enjoy the Digital Media Software Academy. In this series, you will learn how to develop and create applications for smartphones, PCs, the Internet, and Xbox 360 while being introduced to the powerful programming language C#, used by professionals in the gaming industry and businesses around the world.
