GIRLS HORSE CAMP!!
Hey Girls! Here we go again!  Another season will soon be here and it'll be time to saddle up and ride!
     This year we're going to be hosting some very special guests.  "Dr. Erica", a veterinarian, will be here to explain what it takes to be a horse doctor.  "Jen", the farrier, will take us through the process of trimming and shoeing a horse.  And of course Kayla and Kaylee will be here once again giving hands on lessons on training and showing your horse.
All that and still get 3 hours of riding every day!
     Your day will start with a very special "alarm clock"!  After breakfast you will get your own horse to love and learn on.  Each day before you head out for your first ride you will be grooming, saddling, and bridling your horse.  After riding, your day will be filled with horse craft time, riding, games, secret pasture picnics, more riding, hayrides and of course an evening campfire to share your stories from the day.  
     As you can see, we're all about the horses here, that's why Wild West is the best!

Huron Forest Camp CedarRidge is a place for you to be real, to become, and to belong. Nestled in the heart of the Huron National Forest in Oscoda, MI, our rustic but unique camp environment provides a place away from the distractions of everyday life. At the heart of what we do is our desire to teach Christian values and life skills, and see lives change.

From archery and canoeing to outdoor living skills and drama, campers gain confidence and are challenged to grow - socially, physically, mentally, and spiritually. Our daily bible studies provide opportunities for campers to ask deep questions, and discover who God has created them to be. With a low camper-to-staff ratio, staff are able to mentor campers and encourage individual character development. Campers build and grow lasting friendships through cabin time and team-building activities.

Camp Innisfree is located on 995 wooded acres in Howell, Michigan. The Innisfree Equestrian Center (IEC) is Michigan's only year-round Girl Scout riding facility, which means that every horse is carefully screened, trained, and assigned specific responsibilities based on disposition, stature, and skills. All of this leads to a safer, more memorable experience for our riders!

In addition to the equestrian opportunities, programs include lakefront activities, challenge course, archery, team sports, and many more. Our lodges have large

Camp Ohiyesa has been providing experiences for families and youth since 1918. Black River Farm and Ranch is an all girls horseback riding camp. Girls can enjoy traditional camp activities, farm animals, and horses in a stress free environment.

Since 1962, girls have come to “the BR” to have fun with friends and horses and enjoy a variety of camp activities in a safe and stress-free environment. The BR is a family- owned and operated camp. We offer one, two, three and four-week sessions and mother-daughter weekends.

At Black River you will be able to experience being a horsewoman. Each camper will share in the duties of bringing in the horses, feeding, grooming and saddling them. The BR has more than 80 horses. You will have an opportunity to go on trail rides, mounted lessons, ground lessons and vaulting.

The activities program at Black River is full of adventure, creativity and fun! During the afternoon, the girls are free to go swimming, boating, visit the small animals, play field activities, jump on the trampolines and so much more.

Black River hires only exceptional girls who exhibit leadership potential, caring personalities and positive attitudes. All riding instructors are Certified Horsemanship Association (CHA) certified instructors.

The BR is licensed by the state of Michigan, American Camping Association accredited and certified by the Camp Horsemanship Association.

Our camps teach basic horsemanship skills and increase confidence through riding games and adventures. Day camps offer opportunities to meet new friends, share horse experiences and interact with a variety of farm animals. Pine Ridge was started in 1946 and is just 25 minutes north of Grand Rapids, MI. Traditional camps are 5 night sessions, but recently Pine Ridge has added several mini-camps for younger children and also a day camp.

Camp Nissokone, located in Oscoda on Lake Van Ettan, is a perfect place to learn sailing, kayaking, fencing, water skiing and wake boarding. Other favorites include paintball, horseback hiding, high ropes course and the zip line. In addition, Ranch Camp, Adventure Camp and Teen Leadership Programs offer specialized programs for intense learning. Buses from Livonia and Birmingham. Financial assistance available.

Family Camps offered Memorial Day and Labor Day weekends and during July 4th week.

If it's about horses, we probably have it! Specializing in Hunt Seat Riding, Cedar Lodge offers Daily lessons for all abilities, Ground Lessons, Polo, Speciality rides, Trail Rides, Horse Overnights, Vaulting and a Show Team. Our General Program is Tops! So specialized that though we are known for our Equestrian program, some of our campers never ride, preferring to spend their time in the many daily activites we offer. Besides the listed above, Cedar Lodge offers an amazing Arts and Crafts Program, Drama department, Mountain and Trail Biking, Music (including a rock and roll band) and Singing, General Land Sports and an excellent Swimming and Fishing Lake. With a full waterfront program including swim lessons, free swim, Canoeing and kayaking. It is not unusal for our campers to start at 8 and still be coming through 16, opting to participate in our Senior Unit program at 15 and 16 and then to move into counseling postions at 17. We are small, family run and beleive that each of our campers is part of our extended camp family and should be treated as the individual that they are.

Our day camp is Monday thru Friday, 9am to 4pm with aftercare availible til 6pm. Campers ride 2 times a day, have a daily horsemanship lesson, session art project, barn responsibility, cook horse treats, play games, swim, do craft projects, have reading time and many more activities.
We have a professional adult staff. Years of experience and certified CPR/First Aid.

Small facility with one on one attention, ratio of 4 campers to 1 counslor, safe, quality horses/pony's.

YMCA Camp Pendalouan has provided quality camping programs since 1925. We are an American Camp Association accredited camp located on 150 acres of forest overlooking beautiful Big Blue Lake near Muskegon, Michigan. Transportation is available from Oak Park, Illinois and the Muskegon Family YMCA. Our carefully chosen staff receive intensive training covering child development, group leadership, water safety, first aid and CPR. A health professional staffs our Health Lodge 24 hours a day.

Residence Camp is for boys and girls ages 6-16.
