Immerse yourself in theatre and acting this summer at a summer drama camp. Learn acting techniques such as monologues and improvisation while gaining familiarity and comfort while interacting on the stage. Theater workshops, scenes, plays, and musical productions, are often integral components of drama camps.

1. Summer Art and Theater Camps - Crossings offers art, theater, clay (both wheel and handbuilding) and textile camps to kids ages 3 to 18. Email or call to receive an updated camp brochure.
Day Camp - Coed - Zumbrota, Minnesota

Crossings' summer art and theater camps take place in and on the grounds of an old Carnegie Library. The historic, 100 year-old building has been restored into a cultural oasis of art and music serving the towns of Zumbrota, Rochester, Red Wing, and surrounding communities. Kids aged from 3 to 18 can spend a fun week or two exploring various stimulating projects in the following: Multimedia camp, Textile camp, Preschool camp, Pottery wheel and Clay hand-building camps, Claymation and Theater camps. The camp instructors are practicing professionals.

Day Camp - Coed - All Girls - Minneapolis, Minnesota

The Bakken believes that every student is a scientist at heart! In the Super Science! Day Camps, students will:

Investigate concepts related to electricity, invention, and other scientific topics through hands-on activities, experiments, and creative dramatics. Explore The Bakken's exhibits and medicinal gardens. Examine the life and work of interesting historical scientists, and recreating their experiments. Engage in team problem-solving games and challenges, both indoor and outdoor. Discover science by learning the secrets behind magic tricks. Learn how to use materials and tools in our student workshop. Design and build their own creative and unique projects and inventions.

Session 1am June 22-26 (co-ed morning; 9:00 am – 12:00 pm)
Session 1pm June 22-26 (co-ed afternoon; 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm)

For youth entering grades 4th, 5th, & 6th (max 24 students)
Session 3 July 6-10 (co-ed; 9:00 am – 4:00 pm)
Session 4 July 13-17 (co-ed; 9:00 am – 4:00 pm)
Session 5 July 20-24 (co-ed; 9:00 am – 4:00 pm)
Session 6 July 27-31 (girls only; 9:00 am – 4:00 pm)
Session 7 August 3-7 (co-ed; 9:00 am – 4:00 pm)
Session 8 August 10-14 (co-ed; 9:00 am – 4:00 pm)

For youth entering grades 7th, 8th & 9th (max 20 students)
Session 2 June 29 – July 2 (4-day camp; co-ed; 9:00 am – 4:00 pm)
Session 9 August 17-21 (co-ed; 9:00 am – 4:00 pm)
