1. Pop Rockers Day Music camp for girls - This music day camp for girls only, teaches girls song writing, playing in a band, and performing.

Backed by a non profit, girls learn to play in a band in all genres. They compose, write songs, write lyrics, and learn how to work together as a group. Run by a licensed music teacher, it covers all 9 national music standards. This is a week long day camp in St Paul, MN from 9am to 3pm. Girls will have a final performance on the last day of camp. This camp is not your ordinary music camp. We focus on creativity and popular music. The teachers are professional women who play music for a living. The facility is a college campus and is an excellent facility to accommodate up to 6 bands for the week. The teacher/ student ratio is very low: 4-5 students per teacher. Cost is only $299.

2. St. Olaf Summer Music Camp - High school students from around the nation join in this intense and exciting week of music-making under the direction of the internationally acclaimed St. Olaf College music faculty.

This performance-based experience will challenge and encourage you to stretch your musical abilities. Everyone participates in at least one large ensemble (band, choir, or orchestra); participation in a second large ensemble is possible, as well. You will complete your day by attending the elective classes you choose. Two private lessions are included with camp tuition.
This music camp is located at St. Olaf College, in historic Northfield, Minnesota, 40 miles south of the Twin Cities metro area. The St. Olaf music program has a strong reputation here and abroad. The music department's acclaimed faculty will conduct the band, choir, and orchestra.

3. Songs of Hope - More Than a Camp - Songs of Hope-an international performing arts camp. Living together, campers learn about each other’s countries/cultures through a dynamic program of activities & living experiences, while preparing their concert of international music.

Operated by an award-winning arts organization, the nonprofit Songs of Hope project intentionally recruits participants from many countries worldwide, and mixes them with U.S. campers. Living together, Songs of Hope participants learn about each other’s countries and cultures through a dynamic program of daily activities, games, living experiences, and cultural outings, while preparing their concert of international songs, dances, movement, and percussion.

New participants must be 9-13 years old and should love singing and performing. Campers may return up to age 16. They arrive as strangers but soon find themselves living, playing, and learning together in a closely-knit, supportive community. During the first three weeks, participants are in daily rehearsals, led by an experienced staff of professional artists. In the project’s final three weeks, they take their nationally recognized concert tour throughout Minnesota and into neighboring states, delighting audiences with their joyous celebration of world cultures.

Now in its twentieth-first year, Songs of Hope is housed on a beautiful college campus in the culturally vibrant Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area. Campers live in dorm suites with roommates from different countries. The lessons learned during their six weeks together are profound. The friendships are enduring. And the stories are inspirational. Songs of Hope is a transformational experience.

Bemidji State University's Musicamp is now in its 64th year. Students at the instrumental/jazz camp have the opportunity to participate in large and small ensembles, and have private lessons. Classes in music history, music technology, music theory, rhythm, conducting, and jazz improvisation are offered. Special events include a faculty recital and a student recital/talent show. All students participate in the public concerts that conclude each week-long session.

Learn how to craft your own songs at this amazing songwriting camp! Choosing one or two songs to focus on, students will study composition techniques, musical styles, instrumentation, lyrics and more. At times, campers will be split into small groups to study concepts that are relevant to their particular skill level, age, and interest. Students will also receive private one-on-one assistance with their song or songs and have supervised, independent practice time. Students will learn the skills necessary to create professional sheet music or demo recordings and will leave with sheet music or CD in hand! At the end of the week, students will have the option to perform their song at a local venue, with supporting faculty band (if needed).

6. Girls Rock N Roll Retreat - Girls Rock N Roll Retreat empowers girls through the art of music. Girls are put in bands, write songs and put on a rock concert at the end of the week.

Girls Rock N Roll Retreat, Minnesota's first Girls Rock Camp is an annual day camp (9am-5pm daily) that offers 5 days of music lessons, playing in a band, art classes, exciting workshops and a big Friday night rock concert. Our camp is offered to girls who play or want to learn electric guitar, electric bass, drums, keyboards or vocals. We accept girls of all levels on each instrument. We use music as a means to increase self-confidence, team work and friendship in our campers. You can’t beat this Show Choir Camp, a chance to sing and dance and put on a great show! Campers will learn about singing, dancing, acting, costume design, promotion, and more – and put it all together for a spectacular show at the end of the week. Students will be required to send in a placement audition packet in advance, so placements will be ready to go Monday morning and we can better utilize our camp time. Campers will be placed in groups based on their previous experience, age, and skill level. In addition to group instruction, students will receive private or small group instruction on their parts to ensure that every student has a chance to shine in this fun Camp!
