1. St. Olaf Summer Music Camp - High school students from around the nation join in this intense and exciting week of music-making under the direction of the internationally acclaimed St. Olaf College music faculty.

This performance-based experience will challenge and encourage you to stretch your musical abilities. Everyone participates in at least one large ensemble (band, choir, or orchestra); participation in a second large ensemble is possible, as well. You will complete your day by attending the elective classes you choose. Two private lessions are included with camp tuition.
This music camp is located at St. Olaf College, in historic Northfield, Minnesota, 40 miles south of the Twin Cities metro area. The St. Olaf music program has a strong reputation here and abroad. The music department's acclaimed faculty will conduct the band, choir, and orchestra.

Kids participate in each of these activities every day:

I Can Invent: Fantasy Inventions and Complicated Machines III - Use real tools to take apart old appliances and see how they work, then create a model of your own invention. Older campers participate in a Rube Goldberg team challenge that starts a (safe) explosion.
Hatched! – Help save a virtual world and become an entrepreneur in the avatar marketplace.
SMArt: Science, Math, and Art – Explore "cool math" like tessellations, fractals, and more!
Power'd – Discover how to use natural energy sources and build your own motorized pet.
Global Games - Children explore cultures from across the world as they play games from far away lands, recreate history and are challenged to work together.

Directed and taught by qualified local educators, Camp Invention is a national, non-profit STEM enrichment program from Invent Now Kids in partnership with the United States Patent and Trademark Office.

3. Minnesota Youth Golf Camp - Register now and save! Quality golf instruction at St. Olaf College from their collegiate golfers and coach. June 13-17 & July 25-29

The Minnesota Youth Golf Camp offers two programs, one for beginning and intermediate golfers and one for advanced golfers. All campers will stay in the dormitories on campus at St. Olaf College. They will enjoy three meals a day from our top-ranked cafeteria. The programs differ only in the actual golf training regimen, and the number of rounds played on the 18-hole championship course at the Summit Golf Course. All golfers will join in nightly small group discussions, board games, outdoor activities, games, movies, and other fun activities. At the Minnesota Youth Golf Camp, we incorporate friendship and integrity into
golf to revamp the whole person.

4. St. Olaf Summer Athletic and Academic Camps - St. Olaf College in Northfield, Minn. offers seven week-long summer camps - swimming, diving, chess, engineering & physics, music, piano and theatre - all set on the beautiful St. Olaf hilltop.

St. Olaf Swim Camps -- Stroke Technique and High Performance -- are designed for swimmers who have been swimming competitively in associations or school programs. Pool time and other training activities are balanced with recreational activities supervised by camp coaches and counselors.

St. Olaf Diving Camp is designed for boys and girls ages 13-17 who have been diving competitively in an association or school program for at least one season. The camp's comprehensive approach utilizes pool time, dry-land and weight training, dry-board practice, video review and classroom sessions to improve all aspects of your diving.

OleChess offers a challenging week of instruction featuring some of the premier players and teachers in the world. Instruction is supplemented with activities designed to reinforce the new skills you learn and to provide ample opportunities for play. OleChess is for chess players of all ages, strengths and levels of experience. If you want to improve your game, enjoy the company of fellow chess enthusiasts and learn from the masters, OleChess is perfect for you!

Join us for an exciting theatre experience at the St Olaf Summer Theatre Camp. During this exciting and engaging offering, aspiring thespians experience many facets of theatre taught by creative professionals.

Working with faculty members and students who won the 2009 national Rube Goldberg Machine Contest held annually at Purdue University (see a video of the machine by searching "St. Olaf Rube Goldberg" on YouTube), participants at our Engineering and Physics Camp for Girls will learn principles and techniques utilized by engineers and scientists every day as they build their own machines. They will then enter the completed machines in a camp contest and compete against the contraptions built by other campers.
