Learn how to fly airplanes, gliders, and ultra-lights at aviation summer camps. Some aviation camps offer hands on aircraft experience, while others provide instruction via flight simulators and models. A flight school environment provides valuable insight into the science and mechanics which facilitate flight: learn about instrumentation, navigation, aeronautics, weather, and pilot safety.

Aviator Day Camp for Kids Ages 13 to 17

Summit Aviation, Inc.'s Aviator Camp is a young aviators dream! The camp is 5 days long and features everything a future pilot should know. Each day, campers are engaged in 4 hours of aviation related lessons and activities, both on the ground and in the sky. In fact, each student will spend up to 6 HOURS flying the big sky country in our state-of-the-art trainer aircraft with one of our seasoned instructors (weather permitting).

The course curriculum is designed by our expert flight instructors to provide each camper with an all-encompassing experience that will teach them the basics of flight and aircraft control. Each day there will be ground school training and flight training using the following schedule:
Day 1: Basic Flight Control
Day 2: Basic Instrument Interpretation
Day 3: Pilotage
Day 4: Cross-Country
Day 5: Takeoffs and Landings
In order to enroll, campers must be between the ages of 13 and 17 as well as be a US citizen. This camp does not provide any certifications to its campers. However, the hours flown in our aircraft with the instructors can be logged as flight hours and will count towards future certificates if they desire to seek them! If campers wish to become actual flight students they may enroll in our Private Pilot course.

Please contact Summit Aviation, Inc. if you have any questions.
