ENGLISH INSTRUCTION
Certified and experienced instructors teach small classes (1:7) of different learning levels in three areas of language learning; Key elements, speaking, listening, reading, and writing; Content Based Learning, developing confidence in language use exploring English in subject matter; and in a Task-Based Project period, where students apply the skills and knowledge from the classroom-based situation and put newly learned skills and knowledge to practical use including preparing and presenting:

- Magazines and newspapers
- Movies
- Story board
- Peer Interviews
- Art Projects
- Civics Lessons

Task based projects coincide with afternoon and evening program activities in an effective, dynamic, and fun way of integrating the students’ language skills.

MEASURABLE SUCCESS
Standardized examinations based on accredited international testing systems are used to evaluate students' progress. Students are tested upon arrival to and departure from the program. Prior students have improved test scores by 150%

AFTERNOON AND WEEKEND PROGRAM
Students utilize newly learned skill sets while engaging in on-campus and off-campus activities. This structured yet casual setting allows for practical language application while reinforcing cultural awareness. Students explore enriching sites around New Hampshire, and New England while interacting in English.
Activities and excursions may include:
Sports – soccer, basketball, tennis, badminton, lacrosse, golf, volleyball, and others
Culture, Arts & Social events– art and history museums, local natural areas, sporting events, music concerts, fairs/carnivals, Independence Day celebrations, parades, mixers, ice cream and pizza parties, barbeques, bowling, and miniature golf
Tours of Cities, Universities, and boarding schools–provide students a formal setting in which to exercise language skills and explore new environments

STUDENT LIFE

Residential Life: From the time of arrival to the US until the time they wave goodbye, each student is provided with outstanding supervision and support. A comprehensive teaching and activity staff lives among students in dormitory houses and is fully engaged in day-to-day activities. The team provides for student welfare for the duration of the program. A squad of New Hampton School student interns act as liaisons for AELP students and staff in another effort to provide comfort and support. Students are assigned a roommate of a different native language when possible to promote the use of English as a common language. The living accommodations are relatively roomy, naturally sunny and come equipped with a desk, bed, bureau and closet space for each student.

Dining: The dining hall is generally open to students all day with various snacks available between meals. We think the food in our dining hall is excellent. The variety, freshness, tastiness and culinary sophistication of the meals served is extraordinary. And desserts our kitchen bakes fresh daily are delicious! Our food services staff tries to please every palate with everything from burgers and fries to tofu curry. We prepare all meals on-site using the best ingredients. In addition to hot entrees, every lunch and dinner includes a wide variety of salads and deli items. Our Director of Food Services, Neal Shartar, sincerely wants students to enjoy the foods served. So much so, that if students miss their favorite recipes from home, we’ll be happy to cook them up in our kitchen.
Meals during travel days are either packed or eaten out.

Heath Services: Students are enrolled in a healthcare plan through United HealthCare and if needed, doctors’ appointments will be scheduled. Students may be sent to area hospitals for urgent/acute care.

Our students have opportunities for growth in all aspects of their lives through the Accelerated English Language Program. Creative and engaging activities provide stimulating and comprehensive English language learning experiences as well as character and social development, and school preparedness.
