Game Camp USA is a program specifically designed for gamers, especially those considering careers in interactive entertainment. As such, it makes extensive use of gaming PCs and consoles. But the campers do more than play video games; they also learn to create them.

Like other formats of narrative art, video games tell stories using words, images and sounds. Unlike other formats however, they also include rules, challenges and interactions. Development of these unique elements, collectively known as game mechanics, is the focus of the curriculum.

Played competitively are video games in the fighting, first-person shooter, racing and real-time strategy genres; and while participation is optional, the prizes make it well worth the effort.

FOR KIDS ONLY...keep reading! Everything you want from a summer camp is at Fairview Lake YMCA. When you sign up for our traditional sleep away camp, you get to make your own schedule and choose the activities you like most! Our great activities include windsurfing/sailing, archery, arts & crafts, canoeing, rock climbing, dance, drama, in-line skating, kayaking, high and low-ropes courses, snorkeling, street hockey, swimming, voice, guitar, and of course tons of other sports options. We also have a horseback riding camp and other specialty camps for tennis, fine arts, sailing/windsurfing. Some of these specialty camps are only for boys and others are only for girls. If you are the adventurous type, you might want to sign up for one of our challenging adventure trips where you can do some real rock climbing, backpacking, canoeing safaris, fishing, biking or cave exploring.

We have over 600 acres of forests and fields, a 70,000-acre national park in our backyard and a mile-long beautiful lake for you to explore. Our kids and counselors come from all over the world. Since 1999 over 130,000 students worldwide have immersed in hands-on learning to create iPhone apps, programs with C++ and Java, video games, websites, movies, 3D models, ad designs, robots, films, and photos. For more than 50 years, summers at Appel Farm have sparked the imaginations of thousands of young people as they interacted with artists from around the world in a beautiful part of rural southern New Jersey. Safety, community, personal growth, and fun have always guided our program and continue to ensure that every child experiences a summer that will last a lifetime. Our dynamic learning program, with classes in music, theater, dance, visual arts, photography, video, recording arts, and creative writing, sports and swim, places emphasis on the creative process, hands-on learning and collaborative projects as campers work toward performances and exhibitions for their families to enjoy at the end of each session. With a balanced schedule of classes, free-time, workshops, trips, campfires, performances and special events, summers at Appel Farm are full of fun!

Most of our campers, boys and girls age 9-17, attend for 4 weeks, though a two-week session is a great way to try out camp for the first time. Sessions can be combined in order to stay for 6 or 8 weeks. With only two opening days, campers start together for each set of sessions.

Friday Performances - Every Friday at 5:30 children use the talents they’ve developed throughout the week to put on a show for family and Friends. Everyone is invited. But this is no living room theatre; You’ll be amazed at what these kids can create in one week.

Low Student to staff ratio – Because we only take 30 students per week every child gets seen and heard. Our small camp lets us create a close knit environment where campers and staff can really get to know each other and each child gets lots of individual attention.

Early drop off at no extra charge – Drop your child off as early as 7:30 and pick them up as late as 6:00. One of our counselors will always be here.

Discounts – Register for more than one week, or register more than one child and you get a 10% discount. Take an additional 5% off if you pay in full by April 1st 2012.

The Firehouse Gallery of Bordentown is near the border of Burlington & Mercer Counties. We opened in 1994 and offer classes in painting, drawing, sculpture, cartooning, and so much more for children ages 7 through 16 with certified teachers who pass an FBI background check. Classes are limited to 10 students per teacher per room. Scholarships are available to families in financial crisis. Classes run weekly by theme and clients can choose half or full day sessions weekly. Choose the weeks that best fit your schedule. Tuition is less than $8.50 per hour and includes all supplies. Come one week or stay for all.

Daily Academics, learn to make quick and easy snacks, meditate and yoga, swimming is weather permitting, building chracter, making usable crafts, tapping your own hidden talents.

Art Kids Rule is a great creative arts program that promotes critical and creative thinking in children through artistic instruction. We take a hands-on approach to learning with a focus on problem solving and self-expression. We provide leading edge, interactive workshops for kids 7-14. Infusing technology with art history, math and literature. Technology allows kids to see art in a new interactive way. Using professional grade materials and a variety of art mediums, students will create their own art portfolios focused on Master Artists as they learn about cultures from around the world. Art Kids Rule provides an artistic experience that is sure to leave a lasting impression!

Located in Berkely Heights NJ, The Wharton Music Center is offer a general camp in the arts called "Who's Got Talent". Focusing on a variety of activities in the arts the ages range from 5 to 14 years old. Campers can enroll for the week, day or full summer.

Classes include: Pilates, Yoga, Ballet, Pointe, Partnering, Choreography, Acting, Nutrition/Wellness, Contemporary, Music, Dance History, Jazz/Hip Hop, Tap, and Theme

Our mission is to give children a fun filled week discovering many aspects of the performing arts with classes in dancing, acting, and singing while studying the stage productions of a different Broadway show each week with instruction in costuming, props, sets, and makeup. Students’ days are filled with acting, voice, and dance classes, rehearsals, crafts, games, playtime, and snacks. Each week ends with a different performance for family and friends!

We also hold intensive Dance and Acting programs for pre-professionals ages 13-18. Classes are run by industry professionals and optional NYC trips are offered.

8-week summer program for approximately 100 children ages 5-14 from 9:00 am - 3:30 pm, Monday - Friday. Our aim is to provide enriching activities which include daily Bible study, educational, grade-related review of math, reading and writing in a fun environment, crafts, swimming, trips to State Parks, community service projects and at the conclusion of the program a trip to an amusement park.
