COURSES
DMA offers day and overnight courses in weekly and multi-week sessions for youth, age 7-18. DMA courses accommodate a wide variety of digital media interests in a more sophisticated learning environment than other summer computer camps. THE TEEN EXPERIENCE
DMA’s teen courses for 2009 include Robotics, Digital Filmmaking, 3D Animation, Web Production, Programming, and Music and Video Production - just to name a few.
Teens may commute or stay on campus in university housing. Separate DMA couselor staff live in the dorm coordinating evening and weekend activities while ensuring a fun and safe experience for everyone. Teens living on campus receive breakfast, lunch and dinner in a university dining hall. The lab’s Dolan DNA Learning Center (DNALC) offers hands-on programs that will propel 5th-12th grade science enthusiasts several grade levels ahead of their peers across the United States.

In week-long camps real scientists and experienced instructors guide young science enthusiasts through the maze of discoveries that are the basis of today’s “Genomic Revolution.” Participants will perform sophisticated experiments using cutting-edge laboratory and computer equipment. Through fun-filled activities they will come to understand the basics of life, biotechnology, bioinformatics, and the breakthroughs that are changing biology and medicine right now.

Led by nobel laureate Dr. Jim Watson, co-discoverer of the Double Helix and chancellor of Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, the Dolan DNA Learning Center "invented" DNA camps in 1985. Since then over 6,000 students participated. The number of different camps grew from one to seven in order to offer appropriate camps to students age 9-17. Help your child learn a new language or progress toward fluency this summer. SmartNoise offers summer mini-camps in Spanish, Japanese, Mandarin Chinese, French, and English as a Second Language. Small classes are taught by native-speaking instructors in our Westchester County language center. Childrens' classes (ages 5-11)feature a wide variety of different teaching methods so all learners benefit. Games and prizes are used to motivate children to learn while they have fun. Language workshops for teens are also offered. Private and semi-private tutoring is available for adults and children all year.

Mommy & Me classes are offered for children five and under who attend with a caregiver. Music, Spanish, and Japanese classes available.

We believe life is an adventure and you've got to hop on rather than watch it go by. Celebrating its 107th year in 2005, Camp Onyahsa offers an exciting, genuine, and rewarding experience for any camper. Nestled in its own wooded bay on northern Chautauqua Lake, we offer traditional camp sessions, specialty camps, academic programs, teen activities, leadership development programs, extensive waterfront classes, outdoor environmental education, and much more. Campers live in rustic single-sex, age-graded cabins, tents, or cab-ents (cabin-tents) under the supervision of carefully selected and trained staff members.
