The Summer Institute for the Gifted provides the highest quality educational and social opportunities for academically gifted and talented students through residential, commuter, day, and online programs for students ages 5-17.
Residential life at Emma includes 6 programs: ESL instruction, Writer's Retreat, Rosie's Girls, Community Service Learning, Mathmatics, and Outdoor Adventure. Programs combine classroom study with activities beyond the campus. Students are taught by professional instructors and curriculum is designed around the needs of each girl. We provide a cultural immersion experience for girls from around the world and across the US.

Each summer, over 600 students from 40 countries attend the MUN Institute to improve their leadership and public speaking skills. Students spend the week honing their Model UN abilities in order to prepare for college, career, and beyond.
Campers will meet with children’s book authors, take part in book discussions, and go on book-related field trips around the city. Each week camp will conclude with an informal performance of actors reading camp participants’ writing.
