Welcome to Game Camp USA by Convergenesis, Inc. (est. 2006)

Game Camp USA is a program specifically designed for gamers, especially those considering careers in interactive entertainment. As such, it makes extensive use of gaming PCs and consoles. But the campers do more than play video games; they also learn to create them.

Like other formats of narrative art, video games tell stories using words, images and sounds. Unlike other formats however, they also include rules, challenges and interactions. Development of these unique elements, collectively known as game mechanics, is the focus of the curriculum.

Played competitively are video games in the fighting, first-person shooter, racing and real-time strategy genres; and while participation is optional, the prizes make it well worth the effort.

Since 1999 over 130,000 students worldwide have immersed in hands-on learning to create iPhone apps, programs with C++ and Java, video games, websites, movies, 3D models, ad designs, robots, films, and photos. Beginner to advanced students ages 7-17 enroll in these fun and challenging, weeklong, day and overnight summer camps held at 60 prestigious universities nationwide (see below).

Small class sizes (max 8:1) are guaranteed and taught by adult-only instructors, with Teens, pre-Teens, and younger students separated into different classes. Students learn personalized curriculum with a small group of peers, allowing them to optimize learning and social experiences. iD Tech Camps has been at the forefront of technology learning since 1999, and there’s never been a better or more important time to engage in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education. Accredited Continuing Education Units from Stanford or Villanova are also available to help build a portfolio for college.

YMCA Camp Willson was established in 1918, and is owned and operated by the YMCA of Central Ohio. Our 455 acre year-round facility is accredited by the American Camp Association as well as the Certified Horsemanship Association. We operate as a summer youth camp for boys and girls ages 7-17, a full-service outdoor education program for schools, and a weekend conference center for church, yourth, scouting retreats, and many other groups.

Canoeing, sailing, swimming, knee-boarding/wake-boarding/water skiing, fishing, softball, volleyball, speedball, riflery, archery, climbing, tennis, arts & crafts, camp-outs,drama, golf and weekly socials with Firebird Camp for Girls (our sister camp located adjacent to camp). YMCA Camp Kern is the largest resident camp in the state of Ohio and is in the top ten of more than 240 YMCA camps across the United States. Camp Kern is located on 485 beautiful acres along the Little Miami River in Southwestern Ohio. We are a year-round camping facility offering programs in leadership adventure, outdoor education, summer camp, ranch, and conferences and retreats. Our summer camp program runs for 9 weeks, which includes one week of staff training and 8 weeks of resident camp.

Our summer camp is composed of a variety of programs. Boys and Girls Main Camp is for campers ages 7-14 and is divided into villages based on age: Frontier Village for ages 7-9, Explorer Village for ages 9-11, Adventure Village for ages 11-13, and Adventure Plus for 13-14. Camp Kern also offers a wide variety of teen programs including Kern Quest, Eco-Challenge, Ultimate Survivor, and many more. Circle K Ranch is for campers ages 10-16. Our out-trips program, Kern Expeditions is for campers ages 13-16. Leaders in Training (LIT) is offered to campers ages 14-15 and Counselor/Wrangler in Training (CIT/WIT) is offered to 16 year old campers. Pleasant Vineyard is an inter-denominational summer camp which provides an atmosphere of love and acceptance for many children each year. It is an environment where positive relationships are developed and the love of Jesus is not only taught, but also demonstrated through fun recreational activities, outdoor education, and the lives of the camp staff.

Located SE of Richmond, Indiana, offers your child a variety of action-packed camp programs to choose from. Your child may register for a weeklong resident camp that offers up to three hours of specialty instruction each day in an area of their particular interest. Summer Camp in Cuyahoga Valley National Park

The Conservancy offers a unique mix of overnight and day camps that focus on hands-on encounters with the arts and natural sciences.
