Falcon Camp for boys and girls ages 6-16 is celebrating its 50th summer. Widely recognized throughout the Midwest as Ohio's premier private camp, Falcon offers a beautiful lake setting, a talented experienced staff and a wide variety of activities. Program includes horseback riding, sailing, swimming, skateboard, rollerblade, canoeing, fishing, rocketry, drama, crafts, team sports, riflery, archery, nature, overnights, special events and field trips, tennis, and much more. Campers choose their own activities within a general framework each day.

Falcon is a traditional, rustic camp where major ingredients to success are taking good care of our campers and creating an atmosphere of encouragement and understanding. In the process, campers learn new skills and grow in self-confidence, esteem and independence. Our 4 to 1 camper/staff ratios allow us to give each Falcon camper individual attention necessary to assure a summer of fun and learning.

We have a strong reputation for making sure a camper's first overnight experience is very positive. Our non-competitive environment is inviting to campers who may be hesitant to try something they have never done before, while our awards system challenges our most experienced campers. We instruct from beginner to advanced in each activity we offer.

With an average 70% camper return rate, Falcon has a nice mixture of "Cold hands" and new faces. Over the past several years Falcon has been host to campers from 16 different states and 12 countries. The majority of campers attend from the Cleveland, Columbus, and Pittsburgh areas, all within easy driving distance.

Being so close to Cleveland allows families to visit beforehand, meet staff and feel "at home" prior to attending. Falcon is an outstanding opportunity for fun and learning. A summer at Falcon is a special experience where good things happen by design.

The Falcon Horse Lover's Camp is a private one-week riding camp for horse lovers only. In this unique riding program, you care for your "own horse" and also have the opportunity to ride up to three times a day. Riding campers ages 11-15 are accepted from the beginner level up to the accomplished intermediate level.

Horse Lover's Camp is divided into three levels. Level I is for beginners/advanced beginners and is designed for students with limited experience. The certified instructor's emphasis is on basic skills in all gaits. Level II is for the intermediate, featuring riders wanting to polish their horsemanship and control. Teaching includes jumping position and emergency dismounts. Level III is for the advanced intermediates who want to sharpen their riding techniques and equitation. There can be instruction in jumping and schooling over designed courses.

Campers will also find time to swim and take part in some other Falcon traditional camp activities.
