The summer camps of Ballibay Camps, Inc. offer a wide range of non-competitive fine and performing arts activities in fun, traditional camp settings. We are located on a beautiful mountaintop in Northeastern Pennsylvania. Camp meals emphasize health, seasonality, whole local ingredients and sustainability. An on-site garden provides some produce and opportunities for camper participation. Established in 1964, American Camping Association accredited.

Camp Ballibay for the Performing and Fine Arts

Camp Ballibay is an arts summer camp offering a wide range of non-competitive fine and performing arts activities. We offer exciting programs in theater, the visual arts, music, dance, video, radio, and rock music. We have an excellent horseback riding program, swimming instruction, and daily sports activities. Our program is completely individual choice: campers can focus on a single activity all day, pick several to focus on, or try a little of everything! Sessions run 3 to 6 weeks in length for boys and girls ages 8-16.

The summer ends with a special two-week theater intensive for beginning and intermediate performers: Camptown Theater Workshop. The structured theater program includes includes seminar-style classes in many aspects of theatre craft, a very focused scene workshop in which each camper will participate in several Shakespeare and musical theatre scenes (performed at the end of the two weeks), and a campers/staff full-camp chorus which rehearses every evening. Participation in staged readings and one-act play productions are available for campers wanting even more theatre. Campers also have two hours of elective time per day in which all of our major program areas are available. Session runs 2 weeks in length for boys and girls ages 8-16.



The Farm Arts Camp
The Farm Arts Camp focuses on a love of the arts and the outdoors, with a strong emphasis on the visual arts (painting, drawing, photography, printmaking, & ceramics) and traditional camp activities such as horseback riding, boating, outdoor cooking and camping, hiking, and nature study. We offer a wide range of non-competitive activities in a fun, friendly traditional camp setting.

Campers at The Farm also have access to programs at The Farm’s sister camp, Camp Ballibay, including a full music program (instrumental, vocal, and rock/folk/pop music instruction), a theater program (one-act plays), a camp radio station, swimming instruction, daily sports activities, and movement programs.

Sessions range from 2 to 8 weeks in length for boys and girls ages 8-16.


Endless Mountains Dance Camp

Breathtaking surroundings, excellent facilities, innovative curriculum, and outstanding instruction are combined to create the Endless Mountains Dance Camp. EMDC is a summer haven for the experienced dancer, combining the best of professional-level instruction with an understanding of kids, the joy of dance, and a love of nature and the outdoors.

EMDC is designed for campers with dance experience, a commitment to the arts, and an open-mind to try new styles. During the two-week intensive, campers spend most of their day in dance classes and rehearsals, while still having time each day to try other activity areas at EMDC's sister camp, Camp Ballibay. All campers enrolled in EMDC take daily technique classes in ballet, modern or jazz. Other classes throughout the intensive include improvisation, composition/choreography, and musical theater. In addition to growing our Dance on Camera program, new classes are always being introduced (including yoga, flamenco, pilates, and capoeria).

Sessions are 2 weeks in length for boys and girls ages 8-16.


The Rock Farm
Multiple rock studios, acoustic and electronic drum kits, amplifiers, guitars and basses of all types, keyboards, large assortment of percussion instruments are combined to create The Rock Farm. TRF's program offers lessons daily in guitar, drums, and/or bass guitar; songwriting and improvisation classes; staff-directed bands; and great performance and recording opportunities. Campers spend most of their day in band rehearsals, music lessons, and individual practice time, while still having time each day to try other activity areas.

Campers also have access to programs at The Rock Farm’s sister camp, Camp Ballibay, including a theater program (one-act plays), a camp radio station, fine arts (painting, drawing, ceramics, photography, printmaking), horseback riding program, swimming instruction, daily sports activities, and movement programs.

Lake Greeley Camp is a residential camp nestled in the beautiful Pocono Mountains of Northeast Pennsylvania on 250 picturesque acres, including our very own 50 acre lake. We are a family owned and operated camp specializing in first time campers for more than 45 years.

Our modern cabins are home to 300 campers during the summer, approximately 150 boys and 150 girls, ranging in ages from 6 to 15. Also living in each cabin with the campers are at least two college age counselors, providing 24 hour supervision. Our facilities include a new 12,000 square foot gymnasium, amphitheater, two horseback riding rings, an Olympic size pool, a dance studio and three athletic fields. This year campers can also see something else towering 45 feet above the ground, our brand new rock climbing wall and zipline.

Lake Greeley Camp offers a 100% elective program for campers entering the 5th grade and up. Every day campers can design their own schedule and take part in only the activities they want. During the course of a single day we will offer professional instruction in over 60 different activities. If all that weren’t enough, we also offer a number of trips and special activities for our campers to take advantage of. First, eight times during the summer we will be taking trips to see the AAA affiliate of the New York Yankees. If you like football, then get ready to enjoy the fast-paced action of the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers. Twice during the summer we will pack up the entire camp and go to Dorney Park and Wild Water Kingdom for the day. This summer our exciting Three Day Trip will be to Washington, D.C. and Baltimore. On a daily basis we will be taking trips to nearby Promised Land State Park and Shohola Falls. There’s also whitewater rafting trips down the Delaware River and off camp mountain biking trips. If you would like to do some good old fashioned camping you can do that too with one of the many overnights we offer right on our campgrounds. You can also combine your love of horses and camping with one of our horseback overnights. On the 4th of July get ready for the famous Lake Greeley Camp picnic, including giant inflatables and fireworks. Specialized clinics taking place during the summer include clinics by professional scuba divers and the Five Star Basketball Clinic. Campers can also participate in Inter Camp games against other camps in just about all of the sports that we offer. There are no tryouts, just sign up.

SUMMER STUDY AT PENN STATE is a 6.5-week, COLLEGE CREDIT program for qualified 10th, 11th or 12th grade students at the University Park campus of Penn State University, one of America's leading universities. Students earn 3 credits while enrolled in an actual college course taught by distinguished Penn State faculty. Courses include Sociology, History, Biology, Music, Astronomy, Literature, English, Human Development and Family Studies, Art, Psychology, Languages, Theater, Communications and more. In addition to their college course, students choose at least one non-credit enrichment class to round out their academic programming. These "high interest & low pressure" classes include Journalism, Creative Writing, a Community Service program, the nationally renowned Kaplan SAT Preparation course, Calculus, Speed Reading, Engineering, Architecture, Law, ESL, Theater, Music, Art, Medicine, Business and other exciting offerings.

SUMMER ENRICHMENT AT PENN STATE is a 6-week,3.5-week or 2-week NON-CREDIT program for qualified 9th, 10th or 11th grade students. Students select challenging, yet fun classes from a variety of subjects taught by Summer Enrichment instructors. Classes include Creative Writing, Speed Reading, Expository Writing, Theater, Art, Introduction to Law, Photography, Computers, Architecture, Music, Kaplan SAT Preparation course, Community Service, Internships and much more.

MIDDLE SCHOOL ENRICHMENT AT PENN STATE is a 2-week or 4-week program for quailfied 8th grade students. Students will select from a variety of fun and academically enriching classes such as computers, public speaking, chess, theater, writing classes and more.

In all programs, students have full use of the extensive sports and recreational facilities of this "Big Ten" campus, including 2 golf courses, 48 tennis courts, a 72 acre lake, 2 indoor ice skating rinks, 36 racquetball/squash courts, 4 indoor & outdoor pools, basketball, soccer, volleyball, baseball and lacrosse facilities. Private tennis and golf instruction is also available as are clinics in basketball, soccer and volleyball. JUNIORS (age 9 and younger) STRUCTURED: Junior campers travel as a cabin group with their cabin counselor to activities designed for their age group. Certain activity sites offer electives which allows the juniors some choice in their programming. Counselors are specially chosen for their warmth, experience and ability to work with younger campers. Typically, three counselors are assigned to every junior cabin. Child care professionals supervise each junior division and watch over the camper's hygiene, health care and well-being.

INTER/SENIOR PROGRAM (age 10 and older) INDIVIDUALIZED: Older campers get to choose all of their activities at Lohikan. Activities are chosen on a weekly basis and adjusted daily. You can adjust your schedule to travel with friends or specialize in as many activities as you want. The choice is yours!

INSTRUCTION: All activities are headed and instructed by professionals and supported by a staff of college-enrolled instructors who are certified in their field of specialty. Beginner through advanced skill levels are accommodated and in certain activities private lessons are available, i.e., tennis, equitation, music. In addition to instructional classes, recreational time is provided in all activities.

SPECIAL SUMMER CLINICS: Clinics are specially scheduled and staffed, concentrated instructional programs designed to focus the camper's attention and time on improving a specific set of skills. Certain clinics are an outgrowth of programs already operating on a daily basis but offered to provide campers, with strong interest, an opportunity to become immersed in the activity (3-4 hours per day) with the purpose of producing more advanced skills in a relatively short period of time, i.e. High 5 Basketball Clinic, Competitive Tennis, Skate Camp, etc. Other clinics feature programs and activities (skill development) not offered in the camp's daily activity line-up, i.e. Spy Camp, Survival Camp.

In addition to building skills and providing amusement, the Clinics Program lends diversity to the summer camp program and are very popular with many of our campers. This summer's clinics include: Spy Camp, Rock Band Camp, The Equestrian Clinic, Paintball Camp, Hip Hop Clinic, Cheerleading Camp, DJ Clinic, Competitive Tennis Clinic, High-Five Basketball Clinic, Culinary Arts, and the X-Games Skate Clinic.

CAMP STAFF: When it comes down to it, camp staff is what a successful camp is all about. A great camp experience is only possible with great camp staff. This is where we shine! Our 50+ senior staff members are adult professionals who assume supervisory responsibilities in camp and at least 90% return every summer. Our in-cabin counselors are college-enrolled staff members who return at a rate better than 50%. All staff members are interviewed, references contacted and criminal background checks performed. GENERAL CAMP INFORMATION: Camp Cayuga is a private, coed, nonsectarian, residential summer camp for children ages 5 to 15. The camp is located on a secluded 350-acre estate in the Pocono Mountains of Northeast Pennsylvania, just outside the village of Honesdale. It’s about a 3-hour drive from NYC and Philadelphia.

QUALITY & EXPERIENCE: Camp Cayuga was purchased by Mike Buynak in 1964, who turned over the full-time directorship in 1983 to his son, Brian. The Buynaks have owned & operated summer camps since 1957 and have earned a fine reputation over 50 years for providing healthy, safe, fun-filled summers for children! CREATE YOUR OWN ACTIVITY SCHEDULE: Campers, entering 5th grade & higher, select their own activities each morning after breakfast. Campers can sign-up with their friends, so they can attend the same activities together that day. There are over 60 different activities offered every day! Cayuga’s Elective Program provides campers the opportunity to explore their individual interests and pursue those interests he/she finds most challenging.

JUNIOR DIVISION ACTIVITY SCHEDULE: Campers, entering 4th grade & lower, participate in the Junior Activity Program. Each Junior cabin is provided with its own weekly activity schedule, which is geared to the age and gender of the cabin group. The schedule is different each day of the week! Campers travel together as a “cabin group” to activities under the direct supervision of their counselor.

ENROLLMENT INFORMATION: The camper population is limited to 390 campers. To register your child at Cayuga, you can complete the on-line camper enrollment application or the hard-copy application. Cayuga offers flexible sessions including 2, 4, 6, and 8 weeks. Diversity and nonrepetition of the program are two guidelines we use in planning the summer's calendar of events. Sibling credits and "early registration" discounts are available.

Our youngest counselor is entering his sophomore year of college. There is no Junior Staff Program at Cayuga. Our Division Directors assist the cabin counselors, and will frequently communicate with our campers' parents when deemed necessary. In addition, there are over 40 Senior Staff Members who direct and supervise various areas of the camp's program, and stand ready to work with your child on a one-to-one basis to make his/her summer camp experience a successful one. The staff/camper ratio is 1 to 4.

Held at Bryn Mawr College on Philadelphia’s prestigious Main Line, Xploration offers expert instruction in the arts, sciences, popular culture and dozens of fascinating subjects specially selected for the interests of middle school students.

Xploration Workshops cover an incredibly wide range of interesting subjects. This is your chance to discover new ideas, skills and experiences in a friendly atmosphere of exploration and growth. Don’t worry if you’re trying something for the first time! We have several groups for each class and will make sure you’re in the right one for your level of experience.

Drawn almost entirely from top local schools and colleges, our instructors are career educators who have devoted their professional lives to the educational, emotional and social development of young people. Classes are lively, exciting, interactive and provocative.

Whether it be theatre, writing or robotics, Mercersburg Summer has a camp for you!
Join us in a summer adventure for robotics explorers. Campers engage in programming using icon based Robolab 2.9.3 in addition to utilizing math, science, and technology to construct their own robots and tackle basic computer programming as they engage in various, unique projects. A hands on approach guides our scientific simulation for future biologists, researchers, and engineers. Campers leave Robotics Camp with enhanced teamwork and time management skills as well as improved creative problem solving centered on robotic applications. Additionally, campers build a concrete understanding of science and math principles through friendly competition that rewards the efforts of all campers.

Explore and expand your awareness of the many elements of theatre in two dynamic weeks that bring the stage and young people together. Young performers will gain skills in improvisation, stage presence, body movement, vocal techniques, character development, ensemble work and problem solving. This unique experience exposes actors to the technical elements of lighting, sound, make-up and costume design. The workshop culminates with a performance featuring all actors. Recreational activities include movie night, open mic night, campfire, a trip to a professional theatre performance at venues such as the Kennedy Center, and a talent show.

Build writing skills and unleash your creativity in an electric environment that offers much more than a classroom. Explore the beauty of poetic style and the power of your own voice on paper. Language is at the core of life and our campers learn new and liberating ways to express themselves through the written word. By combining an exciting range of activities with workshops, seminars, and individual conferences, we help writers think, and write, creatively. Mornings at camp are dedicated to style technique and command of language while afternoons are open to specialty workshops chosen by campers. Recreational activities range from rock climbing, swimming, tubing on Antietam Creek, and field trips.

Boys and girls of all ages will find a place in the spotlight this summer in these wonderful and unique opportunities.
Each summer PSPA offers fun summer camps for boys and girls of all ages! Classes include singing, acting, improvisation, musical theatre and dance movement.

GROOVE is a entertainment packed camp. We run Monday through Friday from 9-3pm. You pack lunch and we provide drinks and snacks through out the day. We offer hip hop dance, musical theatre, GROOVE TV/Movie star, singer song writer camp, broadcasting camp, glee camp, Rock band camp, and much more. If you sign up for multiple weeks, you will receive a discount.

Prepare for an adventure of arts and cultures with Darlington Arts Center’s accomplished professional teaching artists. Explore the diversity throughout our world and learn about regional music, art, dance and drama. Darlington’s Cultural Summer Arts Camp 2011 continues to raise student’s awareness of the various cultures around our country and our connections around the globe.

Each day the campers will be exposed to all 4 disciplines through lessons, games and projects taught by professional visual artists, musicians, dancers and actors. Campers will “travel” to places both familiar and unknown, and expand their understanding of local and global cultures through artistic exploration. Small groups ensure campers individualized attention and encouragement.

The campers will be divided into groups by age (usually: 3-5, 5-7, 8-12, 8-13 or 9-14 depending upon theme)

Full Day Arts Camps(ages 5 & up) are daily, Monday-Friday from 9am-3pm. The cost per week is $275. (Closed Monday, July 4th resulting in a short week & lower cost)

Preschool Arts Camp (ages 3-5) is in the morning, 9:30am-Noon, and has three choices each week:
- 3 days a week: Monday, Wednesday & Friday $75 per week*
– 2 days a week: Tuesday & Thursday $50 per week
– 5 days a week: Monday-Friday $125 per week*
All Preschoolers MUST be potty-trained!

CAMP TOUCHSTONE
Camp Touchstone is a two-week summer theatre camp for kids aged 9-14 years old, where students are guided through the process of creating theatre as an "Ensemble."

Led by Touchstone Theatre teaching artists, the program uses theatre games, improvisation, dramatic play, and creative writing to guide students through the process of creating an original play. The program culminates in an evening theatrical presentation for friends and family at Touchstone's 75-seat blackbox theatre.

Participants gain confidence in expressing ideas while building skills in speaking, acting, movement, and listening and responding to others. Instructors teach new techniques, while encouraging campers to build on existing strengths and natural abilities. All experience levels welcome!

2011 PERFORMING ARTS & DANCE CAMP

A "serious fun" professionally-based program for talented 5-19 year old students, beginner to advanced, who are looking for a unique performing arts experience. Students perform completely staged musicals at two professional theatres--Sellersville Theatre & Bristol Riverside Theatre! 2010 summer students performed for over 6,500 theatregoers! This sets up apart from other day and overnight "camps."

Includes classes in acting, musical theatre, voice, dance, on-camera, & more. Two - seven week sessions available beginning June 20, 2011 (Monday to Friday, 9:00 - 3:30, with some Saturday performances.) (Placement in sessions is according to age and ability.)
2011 shows include FAME, Disney's Alice in Wonderland, Phantom Tollbooth, The Adventures of Frog and Toad, The Stinky Cheese Man, Annie, and Bound for Broadway.

Theatre and dance workshop and acting ensemble for talented students ages 14-19 who are looking for a professional performing arts experience. Ensemble performs the international hit--FAME!
