June 25 - 29, 2012 ENVISION curriculum

Magnetropolis – Design a magnet-powered city and build a maglev train.
Inventeureka - Join Team Inventeureka and mash up ideas to build wacky and humorous
widget inventions that morph into amazing, new prototypes!
I Can Invent: Balloon Burst - Work with real tools to take apart a small mechanical device, use the parts and other materials to build a Rube Goldberg machine!
Action and Adventure Games – Use upcycled materials and teamwork to create your own exciting new games!

July 9 - 13, 2012 CREATE 2 curriculum

Saving Sludge City – Learn how to clean up pollution and build safe landfills, and design a “green” city
Problem-Solving on Planet Zak - Crash land on an alien planet and try to survive
I Can Invent: Balloon Burst - Work with real tools to take apart a small mechanical device, use the parts and other materials to build a Rube Goldberg machine!
Action and Adventure Games – Use upcycled materials and teamwork to create your own exciting new games!

Directed and taught by qualified local educators, Camp Invention is a national STEM enrichment program from the nonprofit Invent Now. Activities also focus on developing 21st Century learning skills such as teamwork, critical thinking skills, decision-making, creative problem-solving, and working through failure.

Both camps: Monday - Friday, 9:00 am to 3:30 pm

2. East Stroudsburg Rugby Camp - 7/8/10-7/11/10...Our 9th Annual Camp Continues a tradition of promoting the sport of rugby & exposing young rugby athletes to an all-star staff

PURPOSE OF THE CAMP
This camp is designed to expose young rugby athletes to higher levels of coaching and thereby foster development of both individual and team skills. The camp curriculum consists of the most current skills and theories taught by USA Rugby certified coaches, including National Team coaches, athletes and instructors.

LEVELS OF PARTICIPATION
High School females
High School males
Collegiate females
Collegiate males

We have campers with no experience who want an introduction to the sport all the way up to seasoned rugby athletes who want to further develop their skills. We offer instruction to suit every need. Athletes at all levels of skill and development will be divided into teams based on skill, age, gender and size. The teams will then progress through four days of activities designed to improve both individual and team play. The camp ends with an informal match in which athletes can implement what they have learned.

Each athlete will receive:

- Sessions on the Predator Training Machine
- Four days of instruction by USA Rugby’s best Coaches and Instructors
- A complete Player Profile Evaluation
- An opportunity to measure him/herself against other players in their region
