Extreme Weather
June 20 - 24 from 9:00 - 12:00 or July 11 - 15 from 9:00 - 12:00
Suggested for ages 6 - 9 or 9 - 13
Instructor: Amanda Alzate

Learn about Tornadoes, Earthquakes, Hurricanes, Tsunamis and Blizzards! Investigate why they happen and how weather forecasters can predict them. Activities will help campers visualize what these phenomena look like and what kind of destruction may result. We will also learn how to prepare for extreme weather and how to survive it.

Science for Life (and Fun!)
June 20 - 24 from 1:00 - 4:00
Suggested for ages 6-13
Instructor: The team from Knowledge is Power Tutoring Services

Everything happens for a reason! Explore the science behind everyday experiences and common household objects. Campers will be surprised at what they know- and don't know- about the world around them.

Paint, Pigments and Color Theory
June 27 - July 1 from 9:00 - 12:00
Suggested for ages 8 - 13
Instructor: Geena Corradi

The truth is that without science, art would be very difficult or impossible! How does paint stick to a page? How is the page itself made? Learn how colors mix to create new colors, how chemicals and pigments create invisible images, how to create paintings that actually move, and much more.

Sculpture, Chemical Reactions and Forces
June 27 - July 1 from 1:00 - 4:00
Suggested for ages 8 - 13
Instructor: Geena Corradi

Sculptures aren't just for museums and parks! Get ready to make three dimensional artworks using different materials: from paper to glue and clay to bubbles. Investigate the art and science behind the making of kites, wind chimes and even candy! We will use physics and chemistry to create beautiful, noisy, and even delicious sculptures!

Rockets Plus
July 5 - July 8 from 9:00 - 4:00 (1 hour break for Lunch)
Suggested for ages 9-13
Instructor: Lauren Schaller

Back by popular demand! Campers will experiment with different types of rockets and then design, construct and launch their own. This whole-day camp includes three types of launch technology: air pressure, water pressure and electric ignition.

Urban Arts in Action
July 11 - 15 from 1:00 - 4:00 or July 18 - 22 from 9:00 - 12:00
Suggested for ages 6-11
Instructor: Heads Up Lancaster

Discover the science behind drumming, break dance, painting, Deejaying and more! Explore the physics of sound, light, friction, electronics and master the urban arts!

Math for Life (and Fun!)
July 18 - 22 from 1:00 - 4:00
Suggested for ages 8-13
Instructor: The Team from Knowledge is Power Tutoring Services

Math matters! Not just in school but in every facet of life. It is a major 'player' in music, sports and other overlooked areas. Campers will sharpen both their skills and minds as they learn how to make math work for them instead of just working on math.

Archaeology!
July 25 - 29 from 9:00 - 12:00 or August 1 - 5 from 1:00 - 4:00
Suggested for ages 8 - 13
Instructor: Ali Loucks

This introduction to archaeology focuses on how archaeologists use science and math to aid their study of the past. Discover "treasure" in the Science Factory, draw and use maps, measure artifacts, and get your hands dirty on a simulated archaeological dig.

SENSE-ational Science!
July 25 - 29 from 1:00 - 4:00 or August 1 - 5 from 9:00 - 12:00
Suggested for ages 6 - 10
Instructor: Ali Loucks

Explore science through sight, hearing, touch, smell and taste! Can your eyes play tricks on you? Can you identify something just by smelling or touching it? Younger campers will answer these questions and more, exploring the world of the senses through hands-on experiments and activities.

How it Works
August 8 - 12 from 9:00 - 12:00
Suggested for ages 6 - 13
Instructor: Lauren Schaller

Curious about how a technological wonder works? You don't need to be an engineer to take it apart to find out! Join us as we conduct hands-on investigations of electronic appliances and other devices then create our own take-home models!

Junior Rockets
August 8 - 12 from 1:00 - 4:00
Suggested for ages 7-12
Instructor: Lauren Schaller

An encore of the famous rocket camp but this time we're only launching with air and water pressure. If you're new to rockets, this camp is for you! But don't worry, campers will still get to design, construct and launch their own rockets.
