Camp Arrowwood is a life-changing 5 night residential Christian camp for boys and girls who are between the ages of 8-14. We are located outside Pigeon Forge with our property actually bordering the Great Smoky Mountains National Park. For Summer 2010, we will have 5 sessions starting the last week of June. In addition to our excellent Volunteer staff and ideal location, parents love us for our size. Our summer camp is based on physical exercise and learning self defense while in a safe and fun environment. Our camp starts May 31st and runs through August 5th. We will have a large variety of outdoor and indoor activities to help promote physical and social skills. We also offer Martial arts 3 times a week for our campers which is a required activity. We will not offer video games because they can do those at home. Our intent is to keep your child physically active, and offer them the opportunity to use their imaginations and become inventive. RiverTenn Equestrian is a Natural Horsemanship facility. We teach and encourage our students to develope a caring and bonding relationship with horses to understand how to communicate with these wonderful animals. You will learn that communication rather than submission works best. Come experience the joy of working with and riding Horses. This year we are offering creative and educational camps such as Ride to music, Photography of the horse, Equine art and History of breeds.
