Camp Gambill is a beautifully wooded 54-acre facility located in Sumner, Texas. Featuring a sandy private waterfront, this camp has a swimming area protected by a floating pier, up-to-date canoeing, kayaking, a sand volleyball court and other outdoor activities.
Hiking trails weave amid the trees that cover the inland camping areas and a tranquil pond offers opportunities to discover aquatic life.
Modern cabins provide housing for campers, with showers and latrine facilities nearby. Cabins are cooled by gentle Texas breezes and ceiling fans. Central to the camp is air-conditioned Gander Hall - the dining and kitchen facility.
The camping program at Camp Gambill focuses on first-time camp experiences. Seeds will be planted to encourage development of healthy choices in activities and diet. Girls will discover a strong sense of self while at camp, connect with nature to enhance their appreciation of the outdoors, and take action to educate and inspire others to act.
