SummerMusicWeek, Rutland region's kaleidoscope of musical opportunities for youth musicians from 5th grade through high school, offers its' fourth exciting year from July 26th through July 30th, 2005. A fun and affordable week at $200 (after May 1st $225). Wind, brass, percussion must have a minimum of one year of instruction. Strings must have a minimum of 2 years of lessons. Offerings include chamber groups of strings, brass, woodwinds and percussion. Electives: theory/compostion, improvisation, jazz, contradance band, contradancing, hand drumming, madrigals, world music, chorus, wind band and string orchestra. Each musician will be scheduled for two chamber groups, three electives, chorus and band or orchestra.
