Kids come to TIC not just to gain experience with computers, but for a kind of personal attention, excitement and creativity rarely found elsewhere. TIC's technology instruction is personally challenging, and the half day of sports offers a physical challenge to balance the mental stimulation of the technology. TIC is a place where Technology Is Cool, but it is still camp. Campers choose their own goals and benefit from a 4:1 teaching ratio! The camper counselor relationship is paramount. At TIC we believe that independence, intellectual rigor, affectionate appreciation, creative learning and fun all go together. AT TIC, KIDS LEARN BY HAVING FUN!

Since 1999 over 130,000 students worldwide have immersed in hands-on learning to create iPhone apps, programs with C++ and Java, video games, websites, movies, 3D models, ad designs, robots, films, and photos. Beginner to advanced students ages 7-17 enroll in these fun and challenging, weeklong, day and overnight summer camps held at 60 prestigious universities nationwide (see below).

Small class sizes (max 8:1) are guaranteed and taught by adult-only instructors, with Teens, pre-Teens, and younger students separated into different classes. Students learn personalized curriculum with a small group of peers, allowing them to optimize learning and social experiences. iD Tech Camps has been at the forefront of technology learning since 1999, and there’s never been a better or more important time to engage in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) education. Welcome to Game Camp USA by Convergenesis, Inc. (est. 2006)

Game Camp USA is a program specifically designed for gamers, especially those considering careers in interactive entertainment. As such, it makes extensive use of gaming PCs and consoles. But the campers do more than play video games; they also learn to create them.

Like other formats of narrative art, video games tell stories using words, images and sounds. Unlike other formats however, they also include rules, challenges and interactions. Development of these unique elements, collectively known as game mechanics, is the focus of the curriculum.

Played competitively are video games in the fighting, first-person shooter, racing and real-time strategy genres; and while participation is optional, the prizes make it well worth the effort.
