Shakespeare's Time Traveling Players Boot Camp!
June 27th - July 1st, 9am-3pm

(Grades 6-9) One week crash course in the world of William Shakespeare! Students will experience History as we walk back to the 16th century with a troupe of Shakespearian Actors who will be visiting Del Ray in their Time traveling Wagon! This troupe of actors make their living traveling through time teaching and performing the great Bard of Avons words and works! They will park their wagon and turn it into a stage for a week this summer to teach a lucky group of students all there is to know about Elizabethan England, The World of Shakespeare, How to Act Shakespeare, Swordplay and Fisticuffs, Poetry and more! Students will learn to write a Sonnet and perform some of the Shakespeare's greatest scenes, monologues and poems. Fun Costumes and makeup culminate in an public performance by students on the Time Wagons Stage! Tuition: $500

(Grades 2 - 5) A week of Elizabethan fun! In this class we will engage in creative dramatic play based on Shakespeare’s words, setting, and characters. Through movement, story-telling, and music we will be fairies in the forest, witches brewing their cauldrons, princes and princesses in far away castles, and much more. Let your imagination soar as we step into the world of Shakespeare! The camp will end in a performance for friends and family. Tuition: $500

Improv Adventures Camp!
July 18th- July 22nd, 9am-3pm
August 29th - Sept 2nd , 9am - 3pm

(Grades 2 - 5) At Improv Adventures Camp kids will learn and play improvisational games and exercises that the basis of Improv Theatre. By experiencing the fun and excitement of improv comedy kids and will build confidence, learn to think on their feet, develop team work and listening skills as well as performance and comedic abilities. The camp will end in a performance for family and friends. Tuition: $500.

Jedi Warriors Training Academy Padawan Camp!
July 25th– July 29th, 9am-3pm

(Grades 4-7) Students have fun and learn the ways of the “Force” in this one-week intro to acting/ beginning stage combat camp. In this camp young Jedi will hone their story telling skills by learning basic acting skills, character creation and the basics of choreographed stage combat (hair and ear pulls, punches, slaps, kicks, and falls) incorporating “Star Wars” themes. All techniques taught during this week of fun are approved by the Society of American Fight Directors and emphasize safety and cooperation. During the week, students will develop choreographed “Star Wars” themed performance scenes utilizing the techniques learned during the camp. The final day of camp will culminate with performances of the scenes created during the week. Tuition: $500

Jedi Warriors Training Academy Knights Camp!
August 1st – August 5th, 9am-3pm

(Grades 6-9) Students have fun and learn the ways of becoming a Jedi master in this one-week intro to acting/ beginning stage combat camp. In this camp Jedi will hone their story telling skills by learning basic acting skills, character creation and the basics of choreographed stage combat (hair and ear pulls, punches, slaps, kicks, and falls) incorporating “Star Wars” themes. This camp will also introduce students to the basics of unarmed combat, stick and found weapons.
All techniques taught during this week of fun are approved by the Society of American Fight Directors and emphasize safety and cooperation. During the week, students will develop choreographed “Star Wars” themed performance scenes utilizing the techniques learned during the camp. The final day of camp will culminate with performances of the scenes created during the week. Tuition: $500.00

The School of Rock Camp is an opportunity for those 8-15 to experience the many challenges of organizing a rock band. Students choose their own material and band name, design their own flyers, record and perform. Tuition: $500

School of Jazz Camp
June 13th - June 17th, and August 8th-12th , 9am-3pm

The School of Jazz Camp with teach young musicians some of the basic fundamentals of Jazz music, from learning about the history of Jazz music to the art of improvisation. Students will play together as a group and apply principals learned during the weeks activities. The class culminates in a performance for friends and family. Tuition: $500

School of Rock “Song Writers” Camp
July 25th - July 29th, 9am-3pm
August 7th - August 13th, 9am-3pm

The School of Rock ”Song Writers” Camp is an opportunity for those 8-15 to experience the many challenges of writing, arranging, and performing their own music. Students will study song structure and creative writing fundamentals, write and perform their own material in optional solo or group performances at the end of the camp. Tuition: $500

See the world while improving on your visual or performing art! ArtsAbroad is an organization based in Virginia that takes high school arts students on a summer adventure to Europe or the Caribbean. Programs focus on music, dance, acting/theatre, or art and design. A teacher chaperone accompanies students on all program.

Summer 2013 Programs include:

Altos de Chavón School of Design in the Dominican Republic
Spend the summer making art at a medieval village in the Caribbean! Open to any student aged 16 or older with a serious interest in drawing, painting, graphic design, fashion design, or photography. This college of art and design is an affiliate of Parsons The New School for Design, and provides the highest quality in instruction by distinguished professionals. Cultural activities and a weekend at a luxury beach resort is included.

Art, Music, or Theatre + Italian Language in Florence, Italy
Spend two weeks in one of Europe’s most artistic cities! Take daily Italian language classes, and choose afternoon studies in art, music or theatre. Private instrumental or voice lessons or art classes are taught by renowned Florence professionals. Visits to Florence’s beautiful galleries, churches and tourist sights are included. An excursion to romantic Verona provides a night in an ancient Roman coliseum at international opera festival. Open to high school students and recent graduates aged 15 or older.

Dance in Cannes, France
Visit the glamorous and scenic French Riviera for an intensive workshop at one of Europe’s most prestigious dance schools. Choose from ballet, modern, and jazz dance classes with students from around the world. Free time will be spent visiting world-class shops and the beautiful beaches and coastlines. Open to dancers at all levels, ages 14 and older.

International Band and Orchestra Camp + Prague Tour
Visit the fairy-tale city of Prague, with castles, cathedrals, and musical museums. Attend professional orchestra concerts in majestic halls. Spend 10 days at Fine Arts Camp Europe in a small Czech village, playing in ensembles with students from around the world. Rehearsals and lessons each day, with concerts, campfires and talent shows in the evenings. Open to any high school band or orchestra student aged 14 and older.

Theatre in London
Ten days and a whirlwind of professional theatre! Attend five acting and musical theatre workshops, including a session and tour of the Globe Theatre. Participate in a mock audition workshop with a West End casting director. Get behind the scenes on backstage tours, and then attend four of London’s most popular plays and musicals. Visits to London’s attractions, Shakespeare’s birthplace in Stratford-upon-Avon, and the Harry Potter film sights in Oxford is included. Open to any high school student or recent graduate aged 15 or older.

Acting Summer Camps 2011
Do you love to act and sing? Then the TREEHOUSE for creative kids (TCK) Musical Theatre & Improvisation Camps are just the right thing for you this summer. Take part in an ensemble and learn acting skills and wrap up the camp with a final presentation in front of an audience. The camp activities are packed with instructional and fun theater games and group activities, and costume and scene design. Ages 7 to 13 (rising 2nd graders to 8 graders).

The TCK experienced teaching artists and theatre practitioners facilitate a supportive, positive and fun environment for the students to participate in group activities while gaining experience in the acting process. TCK acting summer camp objectives include:

Practice fundamentals of the acting process using actor’s toolbox
Experience basic elements of production and ensemble
Participate in a themed play or musical performance
Every day campers participate in structured fun packed classes and activities

Art Summer Camps 2012
Is your child creative, loves to draw and is interested in arts, thrives in fun structured group activities and games? Then the TCK Art Summer Camps put your child at the heart of his/her interests!

TCK weekly summer camps offer structured art lessons and fun filled enriching group activities. TCK art camp objectives are to promote creativity, problem solving, teamwork, and personal style. The programs are designed for ages 6-13 (rising 1st graders to 8th graders). TCK instructors are professional artists and are experienced in working with students (K-12). The TCK instructors foster a positive and fun learning environment and spend one-on-one time with each student.

Every day children participate in structured fun packed art project
Professional experienced teaching artists will lead each class
Low student-teacher ratio 8:1 or better
Campers to bring in lunch (must be peanuts and tree nuts free)
Student arts exhibit will be held on daily basis for parents to view at pick-up time

We offer a Performing Arts Summer Camp program available every week of the summer; great for those working parents! This comprehensive dance camp can also include music lessons, piano and guitar.


Summer Camp sessions held weekly between June 18th and August 31st.
Registration begins April 6, 2012 at 10:30am, 40 Students per week is our Maximum capacity therefore it is first come, first serve.
