After check-in, your family is able to explore Diagon Alley with your camper to begin “purchasing” the necessary wizarding supplies for the journey that lies ahead. However, to finish gathering everything that she will need, your camper will have to venture onward into our notorious Knockturn Alley, complete with suspicious characters. Afterwards, your camper will be sorted into one of our four noble houses by our talking sorting hat. Each house has its own history, and the houses reside in our homemade castle complete with portraits that serve as the gateway into the house. Each house is comprised of 25 campers or 5 students per year with a dedicated counselor or professor. Many of the activities the first day are geared towards getting to know one's house mates and fellow year-mates. Over the next several days, your camper and her house mates will be battling the other houses for the House Cup and other awards. With her year-mates, she will take various classes (Care of Magical Creatures, Healing, Potions, Surviving the Forbidden Forest, Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts and more) to help her prepare for her chosen wizarding career. We offer several different career paths with the ability to graduate from Hogwarts. After her classes and free period each day, your camper will be able to enjoy two of twelve electives. Choices for electives include: Quidditch, Dueling Club (Swordplay), Runology (Creative Writing), Divination and Arithmancy, Muggle Studies, Ready-Set-Accio Spells (Role-playing), Quodpot (American Version of Quidditch), History of Magic (Drama), Enchanting (Dance), CareerZone (offered twice), and Witch Stitchery (Fashion Design). At the end of the day, your camper’s adventures are far from over. Your camper’s evening adventures include: a Halloween carnival, a masquerade, ridding the forest of dementors at our acclaimed Wands-At-The-Ready, solving the mystery of Hogsmead (complete with haunted trail), and more. We have a very special surprise planned for the last night. The biggest highlight of the camp is the who-dunnit mystery that spans the entire time. All the counselors play suspicious characters where the campers are the stars who have to figure out who did it.
