Live on a genuine working farm this summer at a farm summer camp. Learn how to plant, tend, and harvest crops outside in the fields as well as inside a greenhouse. Some farms are entirely organic and promote sustainable living practices. Many farms have livestock and include instruction with respect to animal care. In any case, you will gain valuable life sustaining hands on experience while having fun at a farming camp this summer.

1. A Day on the Farm Camp at Willows Edge Farm - So much more than just a horse camp! We offer kids a chance to live the "day in the life of..." experience.

Bothell, Washington

Willows Edge Farm offers daily or weekly adventures at Farm Life Camp just outside of Seattle WA. Our small group of kids everyday allows us to really focus on the details. We start out by feeding and cleaning the animals and then the day opens up - we have a variety of activities that we do including gardening, learning the where and why of the different animals - also called animal husbandry - and we also have a horseback riding lesson for each child where we teach starting from the basics of English riding.
The sooner you register - the better to guarantee your dates. This is hands on learning at its best!
We offer an experience like no other.

2. Overlake Farm & Horse Camp in Bellevue, WA. - Overlake Farm in Bellevue, Washington offers summer kid's “Horse and Farm” camp. The two, one week sessions are June 20-24th and July 11-15th, 2011. These are full-day, weeklong camps for kids ages 7-12.

The camps are tailored for children that like the outdoors, nature and animals. Even though each day will have a different theme (i.e. Native American, Old West, Pioneer, Early American) the children will learn about life on a farm and caring for animals, beginning horseback riding, plant and animal identification and exploration in our stream and backwoods. In addition, we will be teaching “old world” life and survival skills from shooting a bow and arrow to cooking in a dutch oven. The kids will also have plenty of “good old fashioned game” time which include tug-a-war, egg toss, balance rope, tire swing and gunny sack races.

3. Wolf Camp - Wolf Camp is part of the Wolf College, an earth skills training institute featuring day and overnight youth camps in the summer and throughout the academic year.
