A Tradition of Fun Since 1898, Camp Greenbrier for Boys is located in the Alleghany Mountains along the beautiful Greenbrier River in Alderson, West Virginia. It is a wonderful, safe place where campers have fun, develop self-confidence, and make lifelong friends.
Boys 7 to 15 years old take part in the traditional camp program that includes archery and rifle, rock climbing, canoeing, snorkeling, kayaking, baseball, basketball, soccer, golf, tennis, swimming, lacrosse, and many others. These campers get to choose all of their own activities.
Campers who are 16 to 18 years old, or those who have completed the 10th grade, take part in the Leadership Academy. The Academy gives every participant the chance to discover his leadership potential in a dynamic three-week program. Outdoor activities like rock climbing, AirSoft, white water canoeing, a challenge course, and rafting on the New River are combined with instruction in areas such as time management, goal setting, public speaking, and leadership methods.
Camp Greenbrier for Boys has been owned and operated by the same family for three generations. The counselor to camper ratio is 1 to 3. And the food is great!
