TUMBLEWEED Day Camp: Located in Brentwood, just west of UCLA, Tumbleweed is nestled in a natural, wooded canyon in the Santa Monica Mountains on over 100 acres shaded by large sycamore trees. Tumbleweed facilities include two heated swimming pools, grass fields, nature and craft areas, ampitheaters, game areas, horseback riding arena, climbing wall and challenge course, hiking/horseback riding trails. Founded in 1954, Tumbleweed operates two Traditonal programs and a High Adventure Beach Club.
Tumbleweed counselors accept the responsibility of being an at-camp parent or friend, ensuring the physical and emotional well-being of all children at camp, and planning the best possible program for their group. Tumbleweed specialists are held to the same high expectations, however, they provide a highly enriched program for our campers by sharing their knowledge and experience in swimming, horseback riding, arts and crafts, dramatics, creative play, music, nature, ropes course and rock climbing.
As a Tumbleweed counselor, you will obtain a class "B" driver's licence, complete our driver and staff training program, receive a tremendous amount of job satisfaction and have a great time!!!
The salary range for counselors and specialists is $2,412 to $2,952. Assistant Counselor's begin at $2412.
