Falling Creek Camp is a traditional summer camp for boys founded in 1969 on Christian values and the spirit of adventure. Nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains of Western North Carolina on 525 acres of mountain forest, Falling Creek endeavors to provide the ideal setting to allow boys a maximum opportunity for personal growth and fun. The leadership provided by directors and counselors alike steers the campers to develop an understanding of their relationships with nature, their fellow man, and God. In addition to our camp traditions and activities, we expand learning opportunities for campers and staff with our extensive adventure expeditions taken out of camp and into pristine and remote areas regionally and internationally.
Falling Creek Camp offers you a unique opportunity and experience to be a mentor of the highest moral character in the lives of boys’ 6 to 16 years of age. Being a camp counselor is one of the most rewarding, enjoyable jobs you can ever have. The staff is offered the opportunity to teach and facilitate a wide variety of adventure activities as well as athletic sports, swimming, arts and crafts and other non-athletic ventures to build the self-confidence of our campers.
Counselors must be able to act as role models in and out of their activity areas in order to provide a positive experience for the campers. We offer competitive salaries, paid orientation, Counselor Resource program, CPR and Wilderness First Aid Certifications as well as specialty training by some of the leading paddlers, mountain bikers and climbers in the industry.
All counselors are at least 19 years of age and have completed a year or more of college. Staff are selected for their maturity, energy, leadership, activity skills, and love of working with children.
