Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains just southeast of Hendersonville, NC, Falling Creek Camp offers you a unique opportunity and experience to be a mentor of the highest moral character in the lives of boys’ 6 to 16 years of age. Being a camp counselor is one of the most rewarding, enjoyable jobs you can ever have. The staff is offered the opportunity to teach and facilitate a wide variety of adventure activities as well as athletic sports, swimming, arts and crafts and other non-athletic ventures to build the self-confidence of our campers. Counselors must be able to act as role models in and out of their activity areas in order to provide a positive experience for the campers. We offer competitive salaries, paid orientation, Counselor Resource program, CPR and Wilderness First Aid Certifications as well as specialty training by some of the leading paddlers, mountain bikers and climbers in the industry.

All counselors are at least 19 years of age and have completed a year or more of college. Staff are selected for their maturity, energy, leadership, activity skills, and love of working with children.

Adventure Staff Needed

Falling Creek has an extensive adventure program that includes backpacking, rock climbing, mountain biking, and white-water canoeing and kayaking. Staff applicants for these positions need to have background and experience in one or more of these areas and be capable of leading day and multi-day trips. All adventure staff are required to participate in specialty training by some of the leading paddlers, mountain bikers and climbers in the industry prior to the summer.
