Camp Counselor Jobs


Kampus Kampers is a co-ed sleep-away transition camp for children who want the sleepover experience without going too far from home. We are located in south Florida on Lynn University 123 acre campus. Kampus Kampers is a part Pine Tree Camp that was started as a day camp in 1978 and has grown to over 700 campers now attending each session. The Kampus Kamper program started in 1992 as a Monday thru Friday sleepover camp. Typically, we have a staff of 50 counselors from all over the country and the world. There are approximately 150 Kampus Kamper campers ranging in age from 6 to 13 years old, sleeping over Monday to Friday and then going home on the weekends. Therefore, Kampus Kamper counselors work Monday through Friday, with the weekends off. The campers and counselors are housed in air-conditioned dorm rooms and counselors may stay on campus throughout the weekend. On the weekends we offer trips to local stores, movies, and the beach. We are looking for staff who are enthusiastic, energetic and good with children, and of course previous camp experience is a plus. Staff must be at least 19 years old and available to work May 31, 2009 to August 8, 2009.
