We do this through an intensive five-year leadership development program incorporating personal challenge, group building, outdoor adventure/education, volunteerism/community action, and career exploration/college preparation.

C5 youth begin their journey of leadership experiences in a summer camp setting at our residential summer camp on the Parrie Haynes Ranch. PHR is a 4400 acre ranch managed by Texas Parks and Wildlife and is located just outside of Killeen, Texas. In their next five years, they will have the opportunity to learn, challenge, and grow in a variety of environments from wilderness areas to college campuses to community settings.

We are looking for responsible, passionate, and creative men and women who want to make a difference and affect change in the lives of youth.

Summer commitment required. Background check & Pre-Employment Drug Screen required. Summer season begins with Staff Training in Mid May and runs through August 10. Most positions require living on site at Parrie Haynes Ranch.

ADVENTURE TREK LEADER:

Lead adventure classes ranging from mountain biking, hiking/LNT, orienteering, canoeing/kayaking.

Assist Adventure Team with Challenge Course Faciliation and technical operation.

Orders supplies and food for all treks and supervises the organization of all adventure related equipment.

Leads groups of youth and staff on 3 to 5 day adventure experiences.

Qualifications: 21yrs or older. Must enjoy working with teens and the outdoors. Backcountry experience a plus.
