The third year of a camper's life gets even more exciting. Venture with them on a 25-day trip including 13 days in the backcountry of Wyoming!

C5 Youth Foundation is looking for young leaders to role model what a positive future and a college education can do for them.

Minimum Requirements:
All applicants must be at least one year beyond high school graduation and turn 19 prior to or during the summer of employment. Age and experience requirements are different for supervisory or trip leader positions. See job descriptions for explanations.

Counselor

The Counselor is the strongest and most constant of role models, and the strong bond formed between campers and their Counselor is an essential part of our youth’s development. A Counselor is with the campers assigned to his or her cabin 24 hours a day, living alongside the campers, eating meals with them, and leading or participating in all activities.

Specialists:

Adventure/ropes course management
Arts and expression
Backcountry trek instructors
Computer/web design
Equestrian instructors
Mountain biking
Rock climbing
Swimming and waterfront activities

Support Staff

Camp Chef, Assistant Kitchen Staff, Assistant Camp Nurse, Office Manager, Maintenance.

Paintrock Leadership Challenge Backcountry Guide

PLC Backcountry Guides lead 13-day travel experiences with small groups of teens. Trips include 6-days backpacking in remote sections of the Big Horn Mountains in Wyoming. The position is physically demanding. Success requires insightful facilitation and dynamic leadership to promote positive relationships, sharpening of leadership skills, and connecting trip-related challenges to skills needed for success in college, work, and life. Responsibilities

Travel with groups along a 6-day, 35-mile backpacking route
Facilitate activity sessions (rock climbing, rappelling, fishing, etc.)
Lead visits to Mann Gulch, MT and Yellowstone National Park
Manage risks; comply with safety protocols; involve youth in building a safety-conscious culture
Facilitate structured curriculum
Assist with logistical support (transportation, packing food, issuing gear)
Minimum Requirements

23 years old; some college experience
Experience in working with youth
Experience leading trips similar in scope
Wilderness First Responder (WFR) and Lifeguard training
Ability to carry a 55-pound backpack over rugged terrain up to 12 hours a day for 6 days
Commitment to Leave No Trace ethics and practice
Clean driving record
Drug-free
