KAWAGA HAS BEEN ONE OF AMERICA'S PREMIER CAMPS FOR NEARLY 100 YEARS! We are primarily a SPORTS camp that offers a well-balanced program, including wilderness adventure, water-skiing, sailing, and more! An important part of Kawaga's rich, 93-year heritage is our emphasis on SPORTSMANSHIP, FELLOWSHIP, SPIRIT, ENTHUSIASM and LEADERSHIP.
Camp Kawaga offers a balanced, well-rounded program. Boys who are skilled athletes and those who are not both love Kawaga and find their own niche here. With endless opportunities, Kawaga offers an exciting array of more than 100 athletic and non-athletic activities!
Our Blue-Gold and Kawagian Leagues make for fun, healthy competition. We also compete against other camps in basketball, softball, soccer, tennis, track & field, archery, riflery, sailing, water-skiing, wrestling, swimming, volleyball, football, and roller-hockey. Our philosophy is to open our teams to every camper who wants to participate. Inter-camp competition builds camp spirit and unity, giving all our boys the opportunity to represent the camp they love. Yes, we do play to win. But, we consider the experience a success if we participated, played hard, and displayed the best of sportsmanship.
Kawaga is a camp, but it is also something much more. It’s a community of over two hundred people each summer that have fun, work, live, laugh, and overcome challenges together. It’s a place where boys learn and grow while becoming better people. Kawaga is about heart and soul! Over 90% of our campers and staff return each summer to their home away from home!
