Keyauwee Program Center is a 350-acre summer camp that comes complete with lakes for boating and fishing, hiking trails, Olympic-sized swimming pool, craft house, equestrian program with a covered arena, high and low challenge courses, archery, sports court, climbing wall, trips that go white water rafting, backpacking, climbing, horseback riding in the mountains, an air conditioned dining facility and much, much more! Keyauwee is owned and operated by the Girl Scouts Tarheel Triad Council, located in central NC. We are just 20 minutes south of High Point. Our counselors have the opportunity to use the skills they bring to camp to help create and facilitate programs that will truly have an impact on our campers. Staff has one and a half days off between each session plus 3, 3-4 day breaks throughout the summer. This gives you an excellent opportunity to head to the mountains or beach to explore all that North Carolina has to offer.

What will I do at Keyauwee?


Keyauwee offers a great opportunity to use the skills you have to offer and gain new ones! All staff are trained to facilitate the climbing wall, nature programs, challenge course, craft programs and more. In general camp staff should expect to: Interact, play and have fun with your campers. Ensure your campers health, safety and well being. Every week you will write letters home to parents about how each of your campers is doing. Learn to facilitate all camp activity areas. Actively participate in the kapers program. This program is a camp-wide competition to keep camp clean. Helps to fill out weekly paperwork on campers including badge sheets, unit awards and evaluations. Participate in staff team efforts in an energized and happy manner to help fulfill our summer goals. Make sure their campers have the best experience ever!
